The Urban Decay Naked Palette has been the topic of conversation for every beauty lover these past few weeks. After initially missing out on purchasing it earlier, due to it constantly being out of stock at Sephora, I stumbled upon some very good luck last night at my local Ulta store. They had just shipped this palette in, and there were only two left! I was incredibly grateful for getting my hands on this palette finally because let me tell you, it is pure pigmented gorgeousness. To see photographs and swatches,
The Urban Decay Naked Palette consists of twelve eyeshadow colors: five brand new shades, and seven of Urban Decay’s best selling neutrals. It also comes with a double-sided 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil in Zero (black) and Whiskey (brown), as well as a mini bottle of Urban Decay’s Primer Potion. The palette comes in a gorgeous gold foil case with a chocolate brown velvet cover, which is very unusual for Urban Decay’s usually edgy/funky packaging. The packaging on the Naked Palette is very luxurious and “rich” feeling, and conjures images of glitz and glamour. Another great thing about this Naked Palette is accessibility – you have all twelve shadows available to you in a slim, thin palette that easily slips into your bag for easy traveling.
Left to right: Virgin, Sin, Naked, Sidecar, Buck, Half Baked, Smog, Darkhorse, Toasted, Hustle, Creep, Gunmetal
The Urban Decay Naked Palette has the most amazing soft, rich pigmentation you will find in an eyeshadow. As with most of Urban Decay’s shades, a little swipe of color goes a long way. Every shade has a soft, flawless texture, and applies smoothly onto your skin. I now personally understand why this palette is sold out everywhere – you simply cannot go wrong with gorgeous, luxurious neutral eyeshadows. The possibilities with this palette are endless: light, soft color, dramatic smokey eyes, and everything in between. The addition of the dual-sided eye pencil is fantastic, as the 24/7 Glide On Pencils are very soft and creamy, and do not budge off of your eye. The primer potion has long been a favorite of mine, helping eyeshadow to look vibrant, and preventing creasing.
The Urban Decay Naked Palette is a permanent fixture in the Urban Decay Cosmetics collection. This palette retails for $44 at your local Sephora or Ulta location. This palette is currently difficult to find in many locations, and is sold out on Sephora online. You can choose to be notified when it comes back in stock at Sephora online, or you may purchase this palette from Ulta online by clicking the photograph and link below:
