Dior DiorShow 360 Mascara is the latest addition to the best-selling Dior mascara line. With a spinning wand, this mascara curls, lengthens, volumizes, and defines with barely any effort on your part. Dior 360 Mascara is meant to mimic a makeup artist’s application of coating every last lash, both upper and lower. To see photographs, and a full review of this brand new product,
When I first saw the box this mascara came in I thought to myself, “Wow, Dior doesn’t play around!” It was wide for a mascara box, and I was curious what I would find inside…
Inside, the actual mascara and the wand brush are separate, with the mascara being sealed with a cap for cleanliness. This ensures that the mascara was never used and is brand new. More and more companies are selling their mascara’s with the wands separately in this manner, and I approve. Back in the day, it was just the mascara, with the wand already in the tube.
This mascara comes with an instruction manual! I felt extremely modern and high-tech, and since I am a total gadget girl, this was exciting for me.
The mascara ampule itself is sealed shut with a black cap to ensure cleanliness.
The wand is packaged separately, as well, and is absolutely exquisite. It features a sturdy black handle, with a metallic silver ring at the end that has the Dior monogram on it. This metallic silver ring is actually the knob you use to make the brush rotate left or right, according to your needs.
The circled part above turns to the left, and to the right, which makes the wand spin either clockwise or counterclockwise. This makes it easy for both left-handed and right-handed users to apply this mascara evenly and smoothly. You also want to change the direction in which the brush rotates based on whether you are applying mascara to your upper lashes or your lower lashes. One direction will curl your upper lashes upward, and one will help curl your lower lashes downward. The rotation on this mascara is fairly slow, so you don’t need to be afraid that a spinning, mechanical object is coming close to your eye.
The double-helix brush is extremely innovative in this mascara formula. It allows the mascara to reach every single lash, separating and defining them perfectly, while also plumping them up.
As always with Dior beauty products, the packaging on this mascara is simply exquisite. It is rich and luxurious, feels very sturdy in your hands, and always catches the eye. Dior 360 Mascara is no exception to this!
As you well know, my bare lashes need all the help they can get. They are light in color, and tend to be sparse, and even curl downward on me. I need a mascara that will truly amp up my lashes and make them thick and noticeable.
Holy sexy lashes! This mascara defined every single lash…probably better than any other mascara I’ve ever used or owned. It reached every single lash, no matter how small or sparse, and really lengthened them. The rotating formula took me a few seconds to get used to, since I am so accustomed to moving my hand manually to apply my mascara. With this mascara, you can literally turn the rotating head on, and let it glide over your eyelashes itself.
I was extremely pleased with how well this mascara performed. It was nice that I didn’t have to use an eyelash curler at all beforehand, either, since the rotation and brush mimic a curler, boosting your lashes curl. The effect is defined, lengthened, volumized lashes that no longer appear sparse or invisible. It wasn’t clumpy, sticky, or runny in any way, and stayed put on my lashes all day long with no smudging.
Bottom Line: If you’re looking for a glamorous false eyelash effect, and you want a mascara that will do most of the work for you, Dior 360 Mascara is your ideal product. It is definitely a splurge, with a price tag of $36, but I have never once regretted a Dior investment, whether it was mascara, lipstick, or face makeup.
