Lookbook: Nicole by OPI, “You’re An Angel” (Dupe for OPI “Pink Me I’m Good”)

nailssun

A lot of you ladies may remember a post I did on a very limited edition OPI nail polish color called “Pink Me I’m Good. It is a bubblegum pink jelly, with golden glitter in it, and it created a huge stir on Beauty Gala, with ladies asking me left and right where they could find it. Unfortunately, the polish is only available for a marked-up price on eBay anymore. I found a fantastic dupe for this polish…Nicole by OPI, “You’re An Angel,” which is a gorgeous bubblegum pink, with a very noticeable pink and golden micro-glitter and shimmer in it. The photograph you see above also has LASplash Nail Art Glitter sprinkled on top, but I am going to show you how to get an almost exact dupe for the covetable polish that is no longer available, so

OPI “Pink Me I’m Good,” was only available for several weeks as part of a limited edition Valentine’s Day Collection this year. I got lucky and found one lingering at my local Ulta in April, but this shade sold out quickly, and is now being sold for over three times its retail value on eBay. Many Beauty Gala readers left comments, as well as sent me e-mails, begging me to tell them where they could find it, only to be disappointed. Well, look no further than Nicole by OPI, “You’re An Angel!”

Nicole by OPI “You’re An Angel,” has almost the exact same bubblegum pink jelly base as “Pink Me I’m Good” does. The glitter and shimmer in “You’re An Angel” is not as chunky, and is micro-glitter, but it’s still extremely noticeable at different angles, and in various lighting. Some nail polish enthusiasts are simply not glitter fans, and may prefer Nicole by OPI “You’re An Angel,” since it has a slightly more “grown-up” appeal, and is much easier to remove than chunky glitter is.

To add some punch to this color, I used some brand new LASplash Nail Art Glitter on top of “You’re An Angel.” I used the glitter shade, “Blooming Lilac,” which is composed of fairy dust white, gold, and purple, and also has some larger, chunkier pieces of pink glitter in it.

With LASplash’s new nail art glitter, you can simply dip your entire finger nail while wet (or with a top coat on) and coat the entire nail, or you can lightly sprinkle on the glitter to your nail. I lightly sprinkled the glitter onto each nail, and sealed the nail with a top coat. LASplash Nail Art Glitter comes in many different shades, including a golden glitter, so if you wanted to exactly emulate the limited edition OPI “Pink Me I’m Good,” you could by sprinkling some golden shimmer or glitter onto each nail, and sealing with a top coat.
