The Laura Mercier Summer 2013 Folklore Collection is all about fiery bronze shades that make you glow, and the perfect product for this is their new Baked Blush Bronze in Ritual. Not only does this product look pretty from the packaging, but it imparts an incredible bronze glow to your skin, even if you’re pasty and have spent all winter indoors. The different shades inside of the product help to give you a very multi-dimensional look, as well.

Above is the promotional picture for the Summer 2013 Folklore Collection. How stunning is both the model and the makeup? It is the perfect depiction of bronzed, glowing skin, eyes, and lips all in one.
Ritual is a baked powder that has five complementary shades in it, to provide the perfect natural color for your cheeks and face. Each one of these is hand-mixed, so technically, no two of these are alike. The multi-dimensional effect this product gives off is INCREDIBLE!
Where do I begin with my praises of this product? It is incredibly pigmented and you need only one swipe of your finger or brush to put down a lot of product, so be careful about not picking up too much at first! The five shades in this product really come out when it is applied to the skin. It has a really natural looking deep bronze shade to it, with absolutely none of that artificial orange stuff going on!
The product is velvety smooth, too. It’s not powdery at all, and as soon as I stuck my finger in it and realized how pigmented it was, I knew it was love. You can easily use this product as a blush or as a bronzer. The model in the collection photograph is wearing it as a blush on her cheeks and it gives her a very exotic, bronzed look.
Excuse my incredibly goofy look above! Sometimes when I am trying to photograph pictures of a product, I forget how easy it is to change your expression accidentally and end up looking silly. This product really warmed up my skin and made it look very natural. There are no orange tones to this product, so no oompa-loompa effect! It just made my skin look really dewy and tan, like I had just come back from vacation.
Overall: Fantastic product. I will be using this constantly throughout the spring and summer months. It’s great to be able to warm up your complexion and your cheeks with a product that looks very natural and contains no orange tones. It’s also fantastic for playing up a tan you may already have. It just makes your skin look so much nicer when you apply this!
The Laura Mercier Baked Blush Bronze in “Ritual” is limited edition for Summer 2013 and is available at Laura Mercier counters nationwide. You can also browse and purchase this product online. Each product retails for $36.00 USD. This is such a beautiful option for a bronzer and a blush in one that gives off really nice, natural, dark bronze color.

Great pictures and swatches! I just picked up mine at Nordstrom this weekend and I can’t wait to try it! It’s gorgeous! I really did not need another bronzer, but this was too beautiful and a “LE” to pass-up!
