This is a product I’ve actually had several people ask me about in the past few months. They wanted to know if I have tried it and if I think it’s worth the money. As you know, Christian Dior is a high-end brand, so when they make a Lip Glow Color Reviver Balm that is a super hydrating, glossy lip product that turns a gorgeous sheer pink shade, people want to know, “Is it worth ponying up that much dough for it?”

When you buy a Dior product, you are getting a luxurious piece of makeup. The packaging on all of their products is gorgeous, but I especially love their lip product packaging. It’s got a gorgeous metal body with a metallic silver knob at the end, which is always stamped with a “CD” for Christian Dior. The packaging is sturdy and isn’t super light or flimsy. It’s definitely a beauty product you keep out on your vanity because it’s aesthetically special and rich looking.

 

The Dior Addict Lip Glow Color Reviver is a sheer pink lip balm. It’s meant to moisturize your lips and seal them in with major hydration.  When you see the actual balm, it is a babydoll pink shade that has some translucency to it. When you actually apply the balm, it will seemingly go on clear at first. The Lip Glow actually reacts to your body to create your own unique shade of pink. The color will remain sheer and natural looking, almost a “your-natural-lips-but-better” shade of pink.

 

The Dior Lip Glow will slowly react to your body temperature and chemistry to create a shade of sheer pink. Inside of the balm, there are super tiny little particles of shimmer that will make your lips glow, as the product suggests. I noticed that it took a full two minutes or so for the lip balm to fully turn pink on me.

 

After just a couple of short minutes, it turned this beautiful sheer pink shade! I looked in the mirror and I was in love with the shade it turned. It’s a very natural looking, flushed pink shade and it’s sheer. The lip balm itself is super hydrating and feels different than a typical lip balm. Instead of it feeling very slippery and like it will wipe off in a heartbeat, it has a very emollient, thicker texture which really clings to your lips. I LOVE it more than I can describe. It’s not sticky or goopy at all, but thicker in the sense that it really seems to lock the moisture into your lips instead of just sitting on top of them.

Since it has this amazing texture and formulation to it, it is actually very long-wearing. I had this on for a solid several hours without it going anywhere, even through drinking liquids. Another great part about the balm is that the color seems to leave behind a “stain” on your lips, so you still get that great pink color even if some of the balm absorbs or wipes off.

 

Dior Addict Lip Glow is one of those products I think you just have to try for yourself. It has a slightly minty feel to it after you apply it, but it doesn’t actually smell like mint or burn in any way. It just feels fresh and really smooth on the lips. I never thought I would love a lip balm so much, especially one that is quite pricey, but it has a completely different texture and formulation than any other lip balm I’ve tried.

 

 

Overall, I think this Dior Addict Lip Glow is a superb product for makeup addicts and beginner’s alike. People who are just starting out in makeup will love it because it is natural and foolproof. It leaves a subtle pink sheen behind while moisturizing your lips and making them look more supple and plump. You’ll also love this if you’re a makeup expert, because some days you just want a casual, natural lip product to use. I personally think this is a product I’ll be using daily all summer long to keep my lips hydrated, but I also think it will transition well into the colder months when lips get chapped easily as well.

This is definitely an “investment” makeup product, but in my opinion, total a cult beauty product that has a wonderful reputation across the makeup community.
