As we saw with the “I Dream of Greenie” eyeshadow palette in our last post, this Wet n Wild eyeshadow palette has amazing pigmentation and will hold up nicely on your eyes. Whether you are a fan of greens, or simply want to make your eyes pop, this palette will give you a truly gorgeous green eye makeup look. The gradient effect makes this look very earthy and soft looking, while still giving you that pop of green. Even better, is that this eye makeup look is extremely easy and simple to achieve. For instructions,
Since the I Dream of Greenie palette is already labeled for you directly onto the eyeshadow, it makes it incredibly easy to know where to put each shade. You are going to need three brushes: an eyeshadow brush, a pencil crease brush, and a fluffy blending brush. Here is a quick visual guide as to what these brushes look like (and my personal favorite brands):
I Dream of Greenie Look Instructions:
- Apply the lightest shade (top) into the inner corners of your eyes, and to directly underneath your eyebrow.
- Apply the lime green shade (bottom) all over the eyelid, packing down the color just to your crease.
- Apply the darkest shade (middle) into your eyelid crease, with a pencil brush, swiping it back and forth in a windshield wiper motion. Lightly pat this onto the outer corner of your eye as well.
- Take your fluffy blending brush, and sweep it lightly back and forth over the crease of your eye, blending the crease color out and into the outer third of your eye. This step is to prevent any harsh lines in the blending of the colors.
- Go back and apply the lightest shade again into the inner corners of your eyes for an extra added pop of iridescence.
- Apply your crease color (middle shade) to your entire lower lash line for an added pop of green.
- Line your upper lash line and lower waterline (both optional) with black eyeliner, curl your lashes, and apply mascara.
The final effect is very luminescent, earthy, and fairy-like. In fact, this would be the perfect eye makeup for a fairy Halloween costume! I personally love green eyeshadow, and I find the effect to be so earthy and beautiful against many skin tones. The fun part about this palette is that it can be used in various ways. If you wanted a softer look, you could simply apply the lighter shades, or if you wanted the effect to be more dramatic, you could swipe the lightest (browbone) shade over your entire eyelid, and use the darkest green shade in your crease.
Wet n Wild “I Dream of Greenie” Palette retails for $2.99 at Walgreens and Walmart stores nationwide. They recently put out an entire new product line, with new nail polishes (named after 90′s TV shows), new lip glosses, new eyeliners, and these new eyeshadow trio’s.

I have 3 of these and I dream of greenie keeps catching my eye when I’m at the store. I didn’t think I would be able to pull it off but your pictures have inspired me to give it a try. Have you tried the “Go for the Gold” limited edition Wet n Wild trio in The Gilded Age? I can’t find it anywhere but pics of it look so gorgeous!
