Now you’re probably wondering, “What in the world are those things under your eyes?” Believe me when I tell you though that most women I know would go to great lengths to smooth out and prevent wrinkles on their face. BioBliss Anti-Wrinkle Patch System is a set of under eye patches that has “micro-current” technology. You can even see the little “chip” inside the patches in the picture above. I was feeling a little intimidated by the product at first, but I was willing to take my chances.
Now, I know what you might be thinking. I’m twenty-eight years old. How many wrinkles could I possibly have? The truth is, I’ve been a little fanatical about anti-aging prevention for about five years now. In my teenage years I did a lot of damage to my skin when I worked at a tanning salon, and I was always very regretful of that time. I wanted to make sure that my skin was as smooth and healthy as possible from the get-go, and it has paid off. Of course, when you’re a couple years shy of thirty and you look back to photographs of yourself in your early twenties, you do spot fine lines here and there that weren’t there before. That is basically the predicament I’m in now as I am approaching thirty, and I am particularly meticulous about my eye area.
I’ve always dealt with some puffiness to my under eye area, which is exacerbated if I don’t take care of myself or my skin. I notice that the area under my eyes has changed through the years and has become a lot more sensitive and dry, especially if I don’t use under eye cream. Concealer easily settles into the puffiness and fine lines of my under eye area if I don’t keep it moisturized properly. My hopes for the BioBliss Anti-Wrinkle Patch System was to smooth that area out a bit, keep it soft and hydrated, and take down a little bit of the puffiness.
The directions for application are very straightforward. You simply take the eye patches out of a pouch that has directions on it. You want to clean the area of your face under your eyes, making sure there is no makeup, oil, or residue there. Since these have a micro-current infusion, it is not recommended that pregnant women use these, or those with heart pacemakers or metal implants in their head. The company claims that just thirty minutes of treatment under your eyes infuses your skin with more wrinkle fighting ingredients than topical application of a cream or serum. It says to leave the patch on for thirty minutes, but it can be left on for up to twelve hours.
The actual eye patches are really cool and high-tech looking. They are made of a heavy-duty material with a small circular “chip” inside of them. I am guessing the “chip” is the micro-current technology. They are curved to fit the shape underneath your eye perfectly.
I applied the patches to my under eye area. They were very sticky and I had no problems getting them to stay. The actual patches did not stick entirely to my face because of the contour of my cheekbones, but the area around my eyes had a nice sticky seal going. I felt an ever-so-slight warming sensation around the area where the “chip” is. I don’t know if I imagined this or if it really was heating up ever so slightly. Then, I waited…
I did what any other normal person would do with high-tech eye patches on…
I took a fifteen minute cat nap.
Took some pictures of myself with my iPhone…
About an hour later, I gently peeled away the eye patches from my under eye area. This was pain-free and easy. I was curious to see how my under eye area felt and looked after leaving these on for close to an hour.
Above is my before and after. My under eye area felt surprisingly tight and smooth, and I noticed that it felt very moisturized and fresh. The skin underneath my eyes felt less puffy and more tight, but it was still smooth as a baby’s bottom. I feel like when I look at the before and after pictures above, I can tell that the skin area looks much smoother. The results, however, seemed to have lasted for me because I woke up this morning, the day after, with much better looking skin underneath my eyes. I typically notice puffiness under my eyes the most right after I wake up, and it was noticeably less puffy and smooth. I also noticed a difference when applying my under eye concealer. It wasn’t as dry feeling and looking, and the product didn’t settle into any fine lines.
Overall: I think the results would have been even more dramatic if I had more wrinkles to combat! The small concerns that I do have with my under eye area…the puffiness, the fine lines, the dryness, all seemed to disappear after using this treatment. While the actual patches look and seem intimidating at first, they actually infused my under eye area with some type of product that made my skin look brighter and smoother. Since I’m a couple years shy of thirty, I would probably use this treatment once a month or once every couple of months to maintain my under eye area. If you have more to combat, I would definitely recommend using this product as a regular treatment. I think using these patches over an extended period of time would give you really beautiful, noticeable results.
