The prospect of going overseas to see the gorgeous wonders of the world not in the United States is exciting, but then when you add in the fact that there are so many amazing cosmetic companies that exist outside of the USA, my heart starts beating a little faster. I’m a beauty addict…I can’t help it! I bet those of you who live in a country other than the US are thinking the same thing about some of the brands that we currently use and are hard to come by in your homeland, too. There is definitely appeal in “I want what I can’t readily get,” which is what attracts me to certain brands. I also know that I have quite a few readers over in the UK that have requested I do reviews or swatches. Enter Beauty uk Cosmetics, an affordable brand that is family run, yet still offers fun, daring, bold, and classic makeup choices. I am reviewing their Baked Eyeshadow Trio in Earth, which just so happens to be a stunningly gorgeous neutral eyeshadow palette that can create the perfect daytime smokey eye. The Swatches:

Aren’t they gorgeous? I will definitely be using this trio for traveling. Neutrals go with everything and anything, and I can use the extra space to add in a different lipstick or two.

The Look:

Most often, this is my “go-to” daytime makeup look. I use neutrals on the eyes to create a soft, daytime-appropriate smokey eye. I sweep the lightest shade into the inner corners of my eyes and brow-bone for a highlighting effect, and pat the medium bronze shade over my entire eyelid. Then, I sweep the dark chocolate brown shade into the crease of my eye and blend it well. I finish it all off with some black liner on my bottom water-line, and add some mascara. The entire look takes me less than five minutes, and it adds a little drama to my blue-green eyes without being over the top.
