Just yesterday, I posted a review on RAW Natural Beauty Mineral Eye Shadow Trio in “Sahara.” Not only is this trio the perfect set for glowing, natural eye makeup, but I wrote a step-by-step instruction manual on how to achieve this look. It even took me less than ten minutes to do it from start to finish! So read more…

Review: RAW Natural Minerals, Eye Shadow Trio, “Sahara”

mainimage11

Who doesn’t love and appreciate mineral makeup modern day? Not only does it boast natural ingredients, but many of the products contain good-for-your-skin ingredients. They apply light as air, and feel velvety soft on your skin. RAW Natural Minerals is no exception to these qualities, and they have a fantastic mineral makeup line. When I was sent the RAW Natural Minerals Eye Shadow Trio, I was excited to test them out, being such a huge fan of mineral makeup, particularly mineral eye shadow. Lookbook: Orly ¡Viva! Collection

mainimageforviva

Orly’s Summer 2010 ¡Viva! Collection is comprised of four Latin inspired shades that are bold and bright. The four shades this collection is composed of: Bailamos (pictured, left), La Playa (pictured, right), Fiesta, and Ole. Fiesta and Ole, which I chose not to purchase are a pink and coral shade, Bailamos is a gorgeous shimmering mermaid-esque green blue, and La Playa is a dark, but bold and shiny blue purple. Review: Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray

mainimage10

Using a makeup setting spray can be extremely beneficial to a variety of skin types. It can help makeup from flaking and blotching on dry skin, from sliding off and changing tone on oily skin, and from caking on normal skin. It is a great way to finish and set your makeup, ensuring long lasting wear. With more cosmetic companies creating makeup setting sprays, how do you know which one to choose? Even further, choosing a makeup setting spray that won’t clog your pores or feel like hairspray for your face can be difficult. Does Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray live up to expectations? read more…

Lookbook: Sally Hansen ULTRA HD Collection

mainimage9

When Sally Hansen first came out with their initial HD Collection, I was skeptical about it being a gimmick, until I saw a swatch of someone wearing “Blu.” Last year, I ended up collecting every single polish from the regular HD Collection because while the colors were not overly unique, the formula had an extremely unique “glow” to it. The polishes really glow and shine on your nails unlike any other polish I own. When I saw the Sally Hansen Ultra HD Collection, and how unique the polish colors were this time around, I knew I had to snag it up. Driving to four different drugstores, and eventually digging through a stock box that was not out yet, I came home with this collection (Sorry, local Walgreens!). Review: Marcelle® Lux Gloss

mainimage8

Many women ask me often, “How do you define what a beauty junkie is?” Often times, we will share a laugh when I describe a beauty junkie as someone who will eat ramen noodles for a week in order to buy the latest Dior lipstick. As a beauty junkie, I am fascinated by makeup brands and products not only from my own region and country, but from around the world. If I could dip my hand into a basket of beauty products from various continents and countries, I would be ecstatic. Marcelle® actually originated in Chicago in 1933, but it’s been a Canadian brand since the early 1970′s.  When I was given the opportunity to try out these lip glosses, I was extremely excited to try a Canadian brand, not only to try something different, but also to provide something different to Beauty Gala readers. Lookbook: Tracy Reese for Sally Hansen Spring 2010, “Silver Lining”

mainimage7

On trend with the loud praises I have been singing for the Tracy Reese Sally Hansen Collection, this was one of the few nail polish colors left on the display, and so I snagged it up. Originally, I thought it would be more of a metallic, duo-chrome top coat, but this polish is actually quite opaque, and the swatches I am going to show you are only one coat. Words cannot describe the warm and fuzzy feeling that came over me when I finally saw that my local drugstore had Sally Hansen’s Complete Salon Manicure in “Hidden Treasure.” I had been hearing about this shade since September 2009, when Sally Hansen unveiled their new Complete Salon Manicure line, as well as the Tracy Reese for Sally Hansen Spring 2010 Collection at New York Fashion Week. The kaleidoscope nail you see above was created for one of the NYFW shows, using Sally Hansen’s “Midnight in NY,” also from the Complete Salon Manicure Collection, and Hidden Treasure. Let me count thy ways that I love this top coat, read more…
