I’ve been hesitant to post nail polishes swatches lately because of how often I’ve been beating up my fingernails and hands with gardening and yard work. After all, if my nails don’t look clean and in good shape, how are you going to want to take my beauty advice? The perfectionist in me is what tells me all of the above, but then I realize I have beauty imperfections just like everyone else. I slack on my beauty needs at times – I let my eyebrows get a little too thick, and I let my cuticles get dry and ragged. But you know what? I’m going forward with this post, because my nails are a reflection of my now lushly green and colorful yard full of perennial flowers and new fruit trees. Orly Nail Lacquer Precious Collection is brand new for Spring 2011, and it consists of six gorgeous shades. The standout shade for me is Gilded Coral, shown above. Orly’s “Royal Navy” is one of my all-time favorite blue nail polishes. Not only is the electric blue color enticing enough to look almost 3-D on your nails, but they added lighter blue shimmer in it to make it truly electrifying. This is definitely in my top 3 favorite blue nail polishes of all time, and a shade I pull out whenever an American-pride based holiday comes around (see: Labor Day!). Orly’s Summer 2010 ¡Viva! Collection is comprised of four Latin inspired shades that are bold and bright. The four shades this collection is composed of: Bailamos (pictured, left), La Playa (pictured, right), Fiesta, and Ole.
