Another incredibly fun new launch from OPI Nail Lacquer, this time inspired by The Amazing Spider-man movie, set to open July 3rd, 2012 in theaters. I actually saw the preview for this movie while I was waiting to see The Hunger Games, and I have to tell you, I absolutely love Emma Stone. I think she is perfect for the role of Gwen with her girl-next-door likeability. Whether you’re a fan of superhero movies, or you just love nail polish, I think this collection has a little somethin’ somethin’ for everyone.

I was so excited when I received this collection, because who doesn’t love Disney? It’s like hating butterflies, babies, and rainbows! Four shades in playful, pretty hues of red and pink, and you’ve got bold yet feminine nail lacquers.

The Spring 2012 collection from OPI is the Holland Collection, and it contains twelve nail lacquers. I decided to split up the two posts because it can be a lot on my nails to swatch twelve polishes in a row, and a lot on the head (nail polish smell, anyone?). I also feel like when I split up large nail polish collections, you get a chance to take in each shade more. Included in this post are the first six nail lacquers in this collection.

When I first found out that OPI would be collaborating with Nicki Minaj to create a collection I admit that squealed with excitement. I find Nicki Minaj to be such wonderful eye candy when it comes to her fashion and beauty choices. The colors, patterns, and trends she wears and creates are always inspiring, and I thought it would translate beautifully into a nail polish collection.

As I typed “Holiday 2011″ into the title of this post, I stopped and asked myself where time has gone. It is kind of insane to think that we already approaching the holiday season this year already. Luckily for all you beauty lovers, holiday season also means plenty of new releases in makeup and nail polish. OPI announces the launch of six new limited edition shades inspired by hip hop sensation Nicki Minaj, including a purple Shatter! inspired by Minaj’s unique style, love of bright colors, and her debut album Pink Friday, the Nicki Minaj by OPI promotion will feature an array of bold hues, from neon lime green to pink.

OPI Designer Series Nail Lacquer shades include vivid hues and sparkling, glitter-packed textures featuring OPI’s exclusive diamond-dust formula. This fall, two brand new shades are being added to the nine Designer Series nail lacquers, Temptation and Bold. Temptation is a gorgeous sparkling purple, and Bold is described by OPI as a bright red glitter. I was actually torn between whether or not this was a pink or a red because it sort of falls somewhere in between the two. It almost reminds me of the inside of a watermelon…ask some people whether or not it is bright pink or red, and you will have different perceptions. The sparkle in this polish makes it absolutely gorgeous, and it is the perfect shade for the upcoming holidays. I even wore this shade this past week and received a few compliments and inquiries as to whether or not it was for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I’ll be the first to admit that I haven’t been the biggest fan of Sephora by OPI recently. I have found their recent color collections and additions to be somewhat typical and boring with an occasional shade here and there that has caught my attention. What’s Your Poison? was one of those shades that stood out at me because it contained beautiful metallic silver glitter in a bright fuchsia-red base. I know, fuchsia-red? Is that even a color? I thought this would be red, but when I look at it, it looks fuchsia to me…and then it looks red again. I guess we’ll leave it up to the beholder. The trends at BCBG Max Azria for Spring 2012 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week this morning included a lot of color-blocking, tribal prints, and easy-going, loose styles. The clothes were absolutely stunning and flowed in a detailed, complex manner. Of course, as a beauty addict, I was watching for the makeup, hair, and nails. The makeup, done by Maybelline, was absolutely gorgeous with fresh, dewy skin, nude eyes, and very rosy cheeks. The nails and toes were also nude and done by OPI Nail Lacquer in Samoan Sand.
