Today was a fairly lazy day in my house, and it felt nice. I did have to go to an early morning doctor appointment (on a Saturday!), but I got to enjoy breakfast with my hubby, and it was nice to come back home and snuggle with our dogs for a few more hours afterward. We enjoyed a delicious lunch at a great small local place we frequent called “Libby’s,” and they have the most delicious sandwiches and wraps there! Lately, I’ve been on some kind of orange/copper/peach eye makeup kick. I feel like it really brings out the blue and green in my eyes, and I’ve been enjoying it with matching peach lips which is really trendy right now. I don’t usually match my eye makeup to my lips perfectly, but I’ve been enjoying the matching peach shades. To see what makeup I wore today, and a full product list,
Face:
- Stila Tinted Moisturizer in Medium
- Physician’s Formula “Happy Booster” Bronzer
- Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush in “Blissful”
Eyes:
- Inglot Freedom System Eyeshadows in #15 all over the eyelid, and #51 in the crease.
- Urban Decay Eyeliner in “Zero” on the waterline
- L’oreal Voluminous Mascara in Black
Lips:
This eye makeup is quite soft and simple. I patted down Inglot #15 onto my eyelid. Inglot has some amazing eyeshadows, and I am still working on filling my “Freedom System” palette up. #15 is a gorgeous shimmering peachy-orange shade, and is one of my favorite colors by far. I brushed #51, which is slightly darker, into the crease just for slight definition.
The great thing about Inglot eyeshadow is that you can buy each pan for less than $3 each if you buy ten or more at a time. I purchased eleven pans at a time, and got my palette for an additional $5 only. The only downside is that the pans and the palette are automatically magnetic, so unless you label the eyeshadow numbers, it can be hard to keep track of which eyeshadow is which number. They are incredibly pigmented, and if I had it my way, I’d get locked in an Inglot store overnight!
The blush I used is Tarte’s 12 Hour Blush in “Blissful.” These have been out for a few months now, and they are AH-mazing. You will love how long they wear for, and how natural they feel on your skin. Blissful is a gorgeous peachy-pink shade.
I love the Revlon Colorburst lipsticks, and “Peach” was the perfect shade to tie the whole “matching makeup” look together. We typically haven’t seen very matchy-matchy makeup looks in the past decade because it has been considered outdated. However, we are seeing so many matching makeup looks on the runways lately. Of course, I’m never one to play by the beauty rules anyway!
The finished look is above. As you can see, it’s definitely a very color-coordinated look, and the orange-peach shades make blue-green eyes stand out even more.
Hope you enjoyed today’s FOTD. What weekend plans do you have?
