I decided to put my favorite Fall 2014 Wet n Wild Palette to the test, Haute Hollywood, by doing an everyday makeup look. Haute Hollywood is really the perfect palette of neutrals for every skin tone and I paired it up with a gorgeous Maybelline lipstick from the drugstore. This look shows you that you don’t necessarily have to have a huge budget to create a nice look. Full details inside,
For my eyes, I used the Wet n Wild “Haute Hollywood” Eyeshadow Palette and I decided to keep them very neutral and soft looking. The only depth and dimension I wanted them to have was through the eyeshadow shades I put on and around my eyes. I left off all eyeliner so that this look would be very doll-like and doe-eyed.
- I applied the shade marked “Eyelid” into the crease and socket and blended it upward toward the brow-bone.
- I applied the shade marked “Definer” into the crease of the eye only to darken it up.
- I applied the shade marked “Crease” over my entire eyelid and along my lower lash-line.
- I applied the shade marked “Browbone” into the inner corners of my eyes.
Curl your lashes and apply mascara. This is a great look for the daytime and for the office. It adds depth and dimension to your eyes but it’s not overwhelming.
For my lips, I used Maybelline’s “Party Pink” Lipstick which is a gorgeous bright berry shade.
The look comes together with a pretty berry lip that isn’t too dramatic and slightly smoked eyelids that have dimension.
All from the drugstore!
