I went out shopping for a swimsuit this evening and came home with a swimsuit and these gorgeous new Wet n Wild Fergie Centerstage Collection Summer 2013 Eyeshadow Palettes. I wasn’t searching for them but happened to come across them by accident. The collection contains some nail polishes, a few bronzers and highlighters, lip glosses, and these two eyeshadow palettes. I grabbed these two from the display immediately because Wet n Wild has the best inexpensive eyeshadow out there. If you want to see swatches of Shades of the Hamptons and Newport Nights, keep reading!
The two palettes in this collection are Shades of the Hamptons and Newport Nights. Both contain five eyeshadow shades, and are relatively light and pastel-like in color.
Newport Nights contains all neutral shades, including a champagne beige satin shade, a light pink shimmer, a violet-pink shimmer, a coral orange, and a glimmering golden brown.
I have to say that I was impressed with the pigmentation. I found some of the other Fergie Centerstage Eyeshadow Palettes from the past year to be a little disappointing in pigmentation, but these were classic Wet n Wild formula. They were soft and velvety, maybe just slightly on the powdery side, but put down nice color when swatched. The coral orange shade and brown shimmer really stand out as winners. It’s a great budget option for those who like to wear very neutral, soft, natural shades.
Shades of the Hamptons amps things up a notch with five shades of pastels and brights. This one is beautiful to look at and luckily also applied wonderfully. There is a teal blue, a lavender, a medium blue, a shimmering midori green, and a glimmering gold.
Again, the pigmentation was very nice. The colors are meant to be somewhat soft since they are all pastels and summer inspired. This is another great palette for the summertime, especially when you want to add pops of color to your look.
Of course, I also made sure to take pictures of the display in case you’re interested in what else this collection has:
The Wet n Wild Fergie Centerstage Collection for Summer 2013 is limited edition and available at drugstores nationwide. Each palette retails for $4.99 USD. I scored mine at Walgreens this week for a buy one, get one 50%, so to say these are a beauty bargain is an understatement!
