Happy Friday! My third and final look using the Urban Decay Vice Palette is one that I named “Mermaid Tears.” The whole look is reminiscent of the sea and sand, and I love the addition of the blue-green on an otherwise neutral eye. The blue-green shade in this palette is insanely gorgeous, and might actually be one of my favorite shades in the entire palette. This is a look that will complement any eye color, too, from blue and green to brown and hazel.
Above is a guide with the eyeshadow shades I used highlighted in hot pink squares. Here is how to achieve the look:
- Apply “Echo Beach” (bottom row, second from left) to your entire eyelid up to your crease. Use “Nevermind” (bottom row, far left) in the socket of your eye, making sure not to blend it too far upward. We want to create a slight shadow effect in the crease with this shade.
- Apply “Junkie” (second row, far left) to your entire lower lash-line. Apply “Unhinged,” (second row, second from right) which is more blue, to the center of your lower lash-line only so that when the light hits the center of your eye, it adds dimension.
- Apply black eyeliner to your lower water-line. Curl your lashes and apply mascara.
A great way to amp this look up even more would be to add bright blue-green eyeliner to your upper lash-line. I decided to leave my upper lash-line bare since I really wanted the focus to be on the mermaid blue-green shade on my lower eye. This gives you the “sea and sand” effect and reminds me of a mermaid. I absolutely love pops of color on the eye and this is a fantastic color combination.
Overall, I’ve dug into this palette like crazy over the past week. I can’t get enough of the eyeshadow quality and shades. This is my last planned look on here, though I’ll probably keep doing everyday looks using this palette and may post more in the future.
