I feel like by now everyone has seen the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette, but since I just received mine a couple of days ago, here are my swatches. I actually used my Sephora VIB coupon ($20 off any $50 purchase) for this palette, so it ended up being a bargain for me. I have all three Naked Palettes now in my collection, and what differentiates this one from the other two is that this palette contains more pink and rose toned shades. This is, overall, a much cooler toned palette than the other two. Wonderfully enough, it works on a variety of skin tones, from cool to neutral to warm. Before I start doing my Naked 3 makeup looks, I wanted to swatch the palette in full, so check inside for the gorgeousness!
The palette comes with a deluxe sample of their 4 eyeshadow primers. Urban Decay, if you’re reading this, excellent job with the samples lately! I recently received a sample from a Sephora order that contained 4 of Urban Decay’s Revolution Lipstick samples, and they have lasted me many applications and weeks. These will also last you, provided you place it into a resealable bag of some kind. Only a small dab of primer is necessary for each use, so these should last you quite awhile. I also like that they’re giving you a taste of each primer and the differences between the finishes of each.
I think the packaging on Naked 3 is my favorite of the three. It’s encased in metal tin and has a really lovely textured design on it.
Inside, there are twelve eyeshadow shades. All of them are absolutely stunning when swatched and they all have rich, intense pigmentation. This goes across the board for all of the Naked Palettes, and I’m glad that this one is great quality as well. Check out the swatches!
Strange, Dust, Burnout, Limit. The first four shades are all about the pinks. Two mattes and two shimmers make up this group.
Buzz, Trick, Nooner, Liar. The next four shades bring on the rose gold! I personally love rose gold shades and these are beautifully pigmented. Nooner is a matte mauve shade and would make the perfect socket/crease color!
Factory, Mugshot, Darkside, Blackheart. The darkest shades of the bunch, we again see a lot of shimmer and even micro-glitter in Blackheart. These are great for darkening up a smokey eye. Darkside also has a slight duo-chrome effect to it when it hits the light, which you can see above.
I can’t recommend this palette enough, especially if you’re a neutral eye makeup lover like I am. Urban Decay’s Naked 3 Palette is now available at Ulta and Sephora stores nationwide, as well as online on their websites. You can also purchase this on Urban Decay’s website, though it is currently out of stock. Each palette retails for $52.00 USD. If you have a Sephora VIB coupon for $20 off any $50 purchase or more, you can use it toward this palette like I did, bringing your total down to only $32. I believe the Sephora VIB coupons expire right before Christmas, so use it while you still can in stores. These palettes are selling like hotcakes!
