For this look, I used the LORAC Multiplex 3D Eyeshadow Palette, focusing on the top 3 warm shades in the palette. The effect reminds me of a Sahara desert sunset, with warm shades of bronze, gold, and mauve. This is an incredibly simple eye look, and if you want to try this at home, you can use any eyeshadow colors you have that are similar, however, the LORAC palette is incredibly gorgeous, pigmented, and has the most amazing duo-chrome eyeshadow in it (on my bottom lash line). To see how to get this look, as well as plenty of more photographs,
- Apply your favorite eyeshadow primer or base. This will help your eyeshadow to not only last longer, but it also enhances the colors of the eyeshadows, making them really pop.
- Apply Shade #1 (labeled above) to the inner corner of your eye and sweep it up to your brown bone. This shade will act as your highlight and make your eyes look larger.
- Apply Shade #2 over your entire eyelid up to your crease wet. You can simply wet it with water, but I used MAC Fix + Spray.
- Apply Shade #3 with a pencil crease brush to your outer crease and the outer third of your eyelid. Using a fluffy blending brush, blend out any harsh lines. I swept this shade slightly higher than my actual crease for a really subtle smokey effect.
- Apply Shade #3 with the same pencil crease brush to your lower lash line wet. This shade has a gorgeous green duo-chrome effect and really makes your eyes light up. I also patted this color down onto my lower water line for a “liner” look.
- Using a purple-brown eyeliner, line your upper lash line. I used Urban Decay 24/7 Liner in 1999. I also applied a clear glitter liner over top of this that has opalescent green glitter in it. This is optional, and just ties in the green reflect of the shadow.
- Curl your lashes and apply mascara.
Can you tell how much it makes blue/green eyes pop? The warm red-bronze shades really make my eye color pop, and if you’ve got blue or green eyes, it will do the same for you. Of course, this look will also make brown and hazel eyes sparkle!

Your application is soo clean, how long does it take you to do your eyes?

Thank you! Believe it or not, it doesn’t take me that long..maybe 5-10 minutes at most from start to finish? The biggest problem I have is my mascara running on to my upper lash line…and that is because I am almost out of my tube (my L’oreal Voluminous). I am going to do a video tutorial this weekend so I can show how I do it live 🙂
