I recently dip dyed the tips of my hair a gorgeous lavender color, and it looked great against my blonde hair. It is a semi-permanent change, meaning it washes out within twelve washes (mine lasted about eight washes), so it is commitment free. Ombre hair and dip dyed ends are a huge trend right now, and it’s a really fun way to change up your look and add a little personality to your hair. Here is the video tutorial on how to get this look!

with directions hair colour you it say you need to wash your hair with ph balanced shampoo, did you do that to yours?
BeautyGala says
Hi Emily…No, I did not do that first. It still came out great, though!

Hair pH is naturally around 4.5-5.5 – once you dye your hair the ammonia/peroxide can change your pH to around 8.
Most shampoo’s now days are pH balanced – meaning they are more acidic to help neutralise the pH of your hair – or bring it closer to it’s normal pH of around 4.5-5.5.
Acids (below 7) will harden and contract the hair, while alkalis expand and soften the hair shaft.
Clarifying shampoos are not pH balanced as they are more alkaline to swell the hair shaft to allow the surficants (cleaning stuff) to penetrate the hair shaft and remove the debris.
So basically don’t use a clarifying shampoo and you should be ok.

Oh and I forgot to say Moisturising shampoos are slightly acidic to contract the hair shaft to lock in moisture.
