Yesterday I swatched the Too Faced Sugar Pop Eyeshadow Palette for you, which releases on March 1st, 2015 for their Spring 2015 collection. As always, I like to put together a makeup look to show you how the shades perform on the eyes and give you some ideas for pairing together colors. This look reminds me of the beach: sea and sand. It’s got sandy neutrals on top with a pop of turquoise along the lower lash-line. It’s just enough to add a pretty glow to your eye shape and color. Full tutorial is inside!
The Too Faced Sugar Pop Eyeshadow Palette was used for this look. I marked the palette with numbers so you can use it as a guide to recreating this look yourself!
- Apply Shade 1 into your crease and blend it upward toward your brow-bone. This is your transition shade.
- Apply Shade 2 lightly into the crease of your eye only, mainly focusing it on the outer-half of your crease and outer corner of the eye to darken this area up and create definition.
- Apply Shade 3 over the entire eyelid, stopping just before the crease. I always like to go back with my crease and transition shades at this point to make sure everything is blended well.
- Apply Shade 4 into the inner corners of your eyes.
- Apply Shade 5 along your entire lower lash-line with a slightly damp brush. Use a fluffy blending brush so there are no harsh edges.
- Apply Shade 6 to your brow-bone for a subtle highlight.
At this point, you can make the look your own however you please. For my look, I used a brown eyeliner in the water-line, which I’ve been loving lately. It’s a great way to define your eye color without looking too harsh. I also lined my upper lashes with Tarteist Clay Liner, which is currently my all-time favorite liner ever. I curled my lashes and applied mascara.
This is a wonderful look for spring and summer, but I personally love this for the winter because it’s very ethereal, soft, and warm. It adds a pop of color without being too much and enhances the complexion. Sometimes you need to create your own warmth and sunshine, even in the freezing cold of winter!
