As I was sifting through Facebook the other day, I noticed that Maybelline posted a picture of one of their models wearing this gorgeous shade of Color Sensational Lipstick. This is, of course, how I get myself into trouble and end up lusting after specific makeup products. Deepest Cherry is the most lush, rich, opaque, shiny deep burgundy shade, and it is perfect for fall and winter. I’m actually a huge fan of Maybelline’s Color Sensational Lipsticks and I own an ungodly amount of them already because of their amazing color payoff and super moisturizing formula. This is one of those universally flattering burgundy shades that I think will suit every single skin tone from extremely fair to dark. It makes blue and green eyes pop because of the color contrast, and it doesn’t look patchy on your lips at all!
This shade tends to look a little bit lighter, brighter, and more red when exposed to a direct light source. You can see in the flash swatch, it really looks like a dark red, whereas in the natural lighting swatch, it looks darker and more true to color.
I love, love, love the little bit of shine this shade has! It makes the whole look a bit more playful, and really makes your lips look larger than they are.
This shade really makes the blue-green in my eyes stand out, which I also really like. In general, I think this is one of those shades that draws attention to your face and really makes your face look alluring, chic, and sophisticated. I feel like a seductress when I wear this shade…
Okay, so maybe not exactly a seductress. But, it definitely does succeed in making me feel very grown-up, spicy, and flirtatious!

I really liked this … but when I bought it I had to return it to Target because the tube I purchased had already been used! I ran to get another one that looked like it hadn’t been used, but it brought up the question: Why doesn’t Maybelline add a tacky sticky thing to their tubes to ensure sanitary lipsticks?
Now whenever I put mine on, whether it’s the formula or not (I don’t often use Maybelline), my lips tingle. It’s probably just germaphobia, but lipstick is one thing I never want to share with anyone else, unless they’re my kids, lol, and even then. O_O
