Spring 2011 Lookbook: OPI Femme de Cirque Collection Swatches

The Spring 2011 OPI Collection is called Femme de Cirque, and is composed of four dreamy additions to the “SoftShades” collection. The collection includes three pink hues, and one sheer glitter coat that can be worn on its own, or over the other light-as-air shades.

SoftShades Nail Lacquers make a very powerful statement by being enticingly feminine with a delicate hue,” says Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director. “Every woman can feel like a shining star with this high performance collection. The sheer glitter coat is perfect to wear alone for a touch of sparkle, or to layer over another shade for a personal touch.”

While these polish colors are extremely delicate, they are also elegant and sophisticated. These nail shades will take you from classy and modern, to trendy. If you prefer neutral nail polish shades, need to keep it demure for work, or simply love french manicures, you are going to love this collection! To see full photographs and swatches,

Left to right: Step Right Up, In The Spot-Light Pink, I Juggle...Men, and So Many Clowns So Little Time

Step Right Up is a beautiful light pink. This is actually the most opaque of the four polishes, surprisingly. It leaves a gorgeous wash of color that looks very elegant and classy. This shade went on completely opaque in just two coats!

Step Right Up

In The Spot-Light Pink is the brightest of the shades in this collection, and I use that term loosely, since this is still a pale, pretty pink. Much to my surprise, this was actually very sheer, and you can see your nails through even two coats of this polish. As with all of these shades, it’s a very demure, sophisticated shade, and would work fantastically for a french manicure. Even though this shade is sheer, it gives the appearance of “flawless” nails.

In The Spot-Light Pink

I Juggle…Men is a sheer glitter top coat, with a cheeky name that I absolutely love. The iridescent glitter in this top coat is very fine, and it is the kind of glitter you’d want on your nails for work or over a french manicure since it is just barely noticeable. Gorgeous!

I Juggle...Men (worn alone)

So Many Clowns…So Little Time is a creamy nude pink. Love the way this shade looks on the nails!

And, for comparison sake, here is I Juggle…Men over top of So Many Clowns…So Little Time:

The effect is light, shimmery, and gorgeous. It just looks so classic, yet modern. I have been wearing these light shades with the glitter topcoat over, and I get so many compliments on my nails! These polishes all required two coats, and lasted about 5-6 days without chipping.

OPI’s Spring 2011 Femme de Cirque Collection will be available beginning April 2011, at Professional Salons, including Beauty Brands, Beauty First, Chatters, Dillard’s, JCPenney, Pure Beauty, Regis, Trade Secret, and ULTA, for $8.50 ($10.95 CAN) suggested retail for each Nail Lacquer.
