Normally when I go into my local Sephora store, I have a clear vision of what I want or what is on my wish-list. This past weekend, I actually ended up spending a good amount of time in the store, just swatching and testing everything because there were a ton of new products out since the two weeks I hadn’t been there. The holiday collections are out and among us and Sephora released a MASSIVE collection called FORMULA X Nail Polish. It was, hands down, the largest display of nail polish I have ever seen in one store. The collection is broken down into Classic Colors, Neutrals, Xplosive top coats, Celestials, Shifters, Chromes, Lusters, Electrics, Brilliants, Sparklers, Superwatts, and Holograms. There is something for everyone and every occasion. I was blown away by how many choices there were and I spent quite some time using the little testing sheets they have, applying various colors to it to see how the polishes swatched. Today, I have Indelible for you from the Classic Colors collection. It’s a beautiful blue-violet creme shade, or “blurple” as I like to call it.

I love the redesign of the nail polish bottles. They look really modern and fresh compared to the other Sephora collection nail polishes. The packaging really stands out. The square top of the bottle pops off and you are left to unscrew the cap of the nail polish. That design is common among really high-end brands of nail polish, like Chanel.
Visually, the display of the polishes in the store is incredible. The display is humongous, and one side of the display in my store was solely dedicated to the Classics Collection, which is everything from neutral white and beige shades to purple. The other side of the display broke down the various other collections, including the glitters, topcoats, holograms, etc. Throughout the store there were also little mini-displays featuring the other finishes of the FORMULA X polishes. Overall, it was like an explosion of nail polish everywhere in the store and it was stunning.
Indelible is a bright blue-violet. I like to call this color “blurple.” It’s cool-toned and has blue undertones in it. When the flash hits this polish, it looks more blue than it actually looks in person. In natural lighting, it looks much more violet. In terms of formula, you just can’t ask for anything better. It was super pigmented and opaque in just one coat, but I did apply two coats for good measure. The formula dries impressively fast, as well. I noticed how quickly the polishes dried while I was swatching them in the store over the weekend.
You can see when the flash is off, the polish looks much more violet than blue. The polish is definitely really shiny and beautiful on the nails. What I like most about this brand new collection of polishes is that no stone was left unturned when they created it. Whether you want a funky feathered glitter topcoat or a classic beige creme polish, you’re going to find it. If you can’t find what you’re looking for in the Sephora FORMULA X Collection, it doesn’t exist!
The Sephora FORMULA X Nail Polish Collection is at Sephora stores nationwide. Each nail color retails for between $10.50 – $12.50 USD. You can also browse and purchase these polishes online by clicking the banner below:
