I wanted to share a few tips and tricks for finding beauty bargains at places other than the drugstore. I know that many of my readers are on a budget and work hard for their money, yet still want to find amazing products at affordable prices. Did you know there is a “sale” section on Sephora’s website? I purchased the Sephora Collection Pro Lesson Palette: Green Eyes for only $9, which is less than many drugstore palettes! I’ve got the full look and details inside,
I always make it a point to check the Sephora website “sale” section. Items are being added to it on a daily basis, and the really great items often go very quickly. If you can catch an awesome product at the right time, you can walk away with an amazing steal. I grabbed this Sephora Collection Pro Lesson Palette for Green Eyes for only $9 in the sale section. It comes with six eyeshadow shades and an eyeliner. It’s meant for green eyes and comes with instructions on how to play up green eyes, but of course any eye color can wear these shades!
I used the entire right side of the palette, brushing the dark purple over my eyelid and lower lash-line. I blended the burgundy shade into the crease of my eye and also along the lower lash-line. I used the champagne shade in the inner corners of my eyes and added black eyeliner to finish off the look. The result is a fairly simple, quick smoky eye that looks absolutely fabulous on anyone.
I like the “role reversal” of this smoky eye…rather than having the darkest shade in the crease, we’ve placed the darker shade on the lid and the lighter shade in the socket.
Some tips for shopping the sale section on Sephora’s website:
- Check daily. I often find new items popping up every single day. The sooner you get to them, the better.
- Sort the products as “Price: Low to High.” This shows you the cheapest products first, so you can see the best deals right away.
- Sort by “Category” on the right hand side. This helps tremendously if you’re looking for something very specific (i.e, lipstick). You can also sort by brand!
- If you’d rather shop in store, there is often a sale/clearance section. Most Sephora’s have a small wall or section of items that are on sale or clearance. If you can’t find it, ask an employee!
I have found many high-end brands for inexpensive prices on the Sephora website. It’s kind of like thrift-store shopping…if you find yourself in the right place at the right time, you’ll find some amazing items. Unfortunately, the Sephora Collection Pro Lesson Palette for Green Eyes is sold out, but they still have the Sephora Collection Pro Lesson Palette for Blue Eyes in stock for $9.00 USD. The palette contains shades of blue, grey, and brown.
You can check out the entire Sephora “Sale” section here. Happy bargain shopping!
