Launched in the United States in 1971, Maybelline Great Lash Mascara has been a favorite of many makeup junkies for decades. Maybelline Great Lash BIG Mascara has the original formula of Great Lash, but with a larger applicator wand for a more voluminous look. Great Lash BIG claims to allow you to build volume to your lashes, clump free.
Maybelline Great Lash BIG Mascara is a fantastic answer to all the die-hard fans of Great Lash who simply wanted a larger applicator wand in order to reach more lashes, and achieve a more voluminous look. The applicator is considerably larger and rounder than the traditional Great Lash wand. It applies with the same, smooth, clump-free formula as the original, but swipes more lashes, and coats much better than the original. If you are a girl who loves thick, dramatic lashes, then this is the mascara for you.
The volume in this mascara builds with each coat – Each time you apply, you will notice very little, if any clumps, making the dreaded “spider eyes” look much less likely. In the photographs above, I applied two coats of this mascara and was very pleased with how it separated my lashes, and built each lash up to look thicker and darker. As someone who has sparse, short, blonde lashes, I was pleased with the results of this mascara.
Bottom line: If you are an avid fan of Maybelline Great Lash Mascara, but you’d like a bigger wand, and a more voluminous look, this is the mascara for you. If you are in the market for an inexpensive mascara with good quality, this is also a great option for you.
