The truth is, you don’t have to spend a ton of money to get really perfected looking skin. The other truth is, a lot of us, myself included, overdo it on the face makeup and end up making our skin look worse. I am guilty of this quite often, actually. I’ll pile on a medium coverage foundation, concealer and powder, and before I know it, I’ve essentially used products that are way too heavy for my skin. Using products that are too heavy can end up leaving you with dreaded “cake face” and it can make your skin look older. Enter the Physician’s Formula Super BB Line. It’s a group of three face products that I am reviewing for you today that are enough to cover and perfect your skin without completely covering it up. These products actually let your skin shine through and look natural. I’ll be using the Super BB Cream, the Super BB Powder, and the Super BB Concealer.

I love Physician’s Formula as a drugstore makeup brand overall. If you’ve never used their products, I highly recommend them. Their face and skin cosmetics are especially amazing, and they all come at a drugstore price and availability.

 

 

 

Super BB Cream: First up, the Beauty Balm. This BB has SPF30, which is incredible. This is a great product for everyday use, no matter what season it is, because SPF30 will protect your face from any sun damage and wrinkles. This is meant to take the place of your moisturizer and your foundation. It’s a fantastic multi-tasking product that looks and feels great on the skin. Since I don’t have any major skin issues, I use this with my BECCA Cosmetics The One Perfecting Brush, and it easily blends into my face like a second skin. This will give you light coverage, which, believe it or not, most people only need. Don’t worry about concealer yet, because that’s up next. This will even out your skin tone and make your skin look smooth, glowing, and uniform. It’s lightweight, so there is no cakey feeling.

 

 

 

Super BB Concealer Pen: This also has SPF30, and this is the perfect way to apply concealer. You simply twist the wand at the bottom and the product flows out onto an applicator brush tip. You can then “brush” the concealer onto your blemishes, underneath your eyes, and any part of your skin you further need to conceal and correct. Then, take a brush, and pat the product in. You never want to rub or blend out concealer, only pat it onto the area you’ve applied it, so that it actually conceals. I use this underneath my eyes, around my nose, and on any pimples I have. It’s a medium coverage concealer that is buildable, so you could do an additional layer if you feel you need even more coverage. What I like about this product is that it’s a very sanitary way of applying concealer. There is no contact at all with your fingers, so you’re not spreading bacteria and germs to your skin!

 

 

 

Super BB Powder: I have to confess my undying love for this powder. I’ve used a lot of setting powders over the years, and this one is FABULOUS. It blends into your skin really well instead of sitting on top of it, and it makes your skin look glowing and healthy. It never looks cakey or…well, like powder. It’s perfect for setting your concealer and any oily spots on your face. I use this powder on a daily basis to set my makeup, and it lasts all day long.

 

 

 

When you combine these three products together, using the BB Cream first, the BB Concealer second, and the BB Powder last, you will get a truly flawless finish on your face that is lightweight and natural looking. You don’t have to worry about having cake face or looking overly done up. Here are my results using the three products:

 

 

 

 

I’ve lightly applied a blush to my cheekbones, but other than that, what you see is what you get in these photographs. I’ve used all of the Super BB products, and my skin feels and looks smooth and clear. I really adore the end result these products give me.
