I confess that when I first went to try the Pacific Illusions Beauty “Destinations” Palette, I didn’t know exactly what to expect. It was my first time using the brand, and while I’ve used mineral makeup before, I haven’t used mineral makeup that has been in a palette before. I am here to tell you that this palette is definitely in my top 3 favorite makeup finds of the year. If I could stick my face on this brand and model for them, I would. That is how gorgeous and insanely amazing I think the quality of this palette is. The eyeshadow is smoother than any eyeshadow I have ever dipped my fingers into before, and they are so pigmented. Besides the quality being amazing, it is also completely paraben free, talc free, scent free, and cruelty free.

This is the Destinations palette, though there are other palette varieties available. This one is simply divine and gorgeous in that it contains perfectly neutral colors that can be made to be more dramatic or very subtle. These are the types of palettes I most use on a daily basis and the ones I travel with.
The Destinations Palette contains two cheek colors and four eyeshadow shades. The top blush is matte and contains no shimmer, and the bottom blush has a very fine sparkle to it that is lovely.
Before I go into the incredible swatches, I want to talk about how perfect these products are formula-wise. Not only are they the softest, smoothest products I’ve dipped my hands into, they apply wonderfully with your fingers and with your makeup brushes. The wonderful thing about mineral makeup is that it has this ability to “melt” into your face, in a good way, where it looks insanely natural and not like it’s just sitting on “top” of your skin.
Bellini, the top blush in the palette, is a soft matte peachy pink. What I love about Pacific Illusions is the build-able quality of the products. When I first applied this, it was quite light for my skin tone. As soon as I applied another layer, it was perfect for my skin tone and still looked soft.
St. Tropez and Bermuda are the top two eyeshadow shades in the palette. St. Tropez is a rich, matte chocolate brown, but when you look closely it has the tiniest amount of fine sparkle in it. It’s really quite unique and beautiful in that it’s matte yet has some sparkle in it. Bermuda is a light pink shade that absolutely glows on the skin. Both shades were rich in pigment and only needed one swipe to put down the color you see above. I was beyond impressed with the quality and pigmentation of these.
Sandal is the bottom blush with the sparkle in it. This is a fantastic option for when you want a little extra glitz in your life. I like that it’s sparkly without looking too “adolescent” if that makes sense. It’s a gorgeous pinky-peach shade with very fine shimmer in it that would make the perfect blush for a special occasion or a night out (especially in the summer!).
Half Moon Bay and Aruba are the bottom two eyeshadow shades in the palette. These are pure shimmering heaven. Half Moon Bay is a shimmering gold-taupe shade that makes the perfect eyelid shade for when you want a little definition but still want to look subtle. Aruba steals my heart, being a champagne beige shade with a golden duo-chrome shimmer effect to it. This is the perfect shade for the warmer weather. Again, both shades applied beautifully in just one single swipe and were very rich in color. I was genuinely shocked and pleased at how pigmented all of the colors were in this palette.
Overall, this may have been my first time using Pacific Illusions, but it certainly won’t be my last. The palette is pure perfection, especially for those who support paraben-free, cruelty-free, scent-free, and talc-free makeup products. The mineral formula is soft, silky smooth, and really becomes a part of your skin. Every single color in this palette is rich in pigmentation.
The Pacific Illusions Beauty “Destinations” Eyes and Cheeks Pressed Mineral Face Palette is available online at Artisan Gems Boutique. Each palette retails for $60.00 USD and there are two other Eyes & Cheeks Mineral Face Palettes available: Paradise Island and Exotic Getaways. They also have five-eyeshadow shade palettes available. Check all the Pacific Illusions Beauty products out here! I personally want more Pacific Illusions palettes in my life now that I know just how pigmented, soft, and perfect they are.
