I was so excited when I received this collection, because who doesn’t love Disney? It’s like hating butterflies, babies, and rainbows! Four shades in playful, pretty hues of red and pink, and you’ve got bold yet feminine nail lacquers.
“OPI is so excited to collaborate with Disney and draw inspiration from one of the world’s most popular characters,” explains Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director. “This collection brings together the expertise of OPI and the iconic style of Minnie Mouse to inspire the distinct palette of vibrant, feminine shades for summer Nails will pop against summer skin in these classic, saturated hues – holding their own alongside the bold prints of the season.”
With that being said, let’s go ahead and take a look at these four gorgeous shades of nail polish,
I’m All Ears is a bright magenta with very fine shimmer in it. This shade is your perfect, classic hot pink. This is a timeless shade in your collection that you’ll never regret and often reach for. I am going to be wearing this shade on my toes a lot this spring and summer. Below is two coats, with the first photograph containing flash, and the next two being all-natural light (as with every swatch).
The Color of Minnie is a classic Minnie Mouse red, with a hint of shimmer in the direct light. I almost didn’t notice the shimmer in this polish, but then when I looked in the sunlight I noticed a very slight shine to it. This is another bold, bright, classic color, and it applied beautifully.
If You Moust You Moust is a bold purple toned pink creme. Love, love, LOVE! This is such a stunningly bright shade that is so flattering on every single skin tone. A shade like this really brings out your skin color and makes it glow. I’ll be wearing this one on my fingers this week!
Nothin’ Mousie ‘Bout It is a light pink shimmer with confetti hearts in it. The idea behind this one is extremely cute but imagine my disappointment when I go to use this polish and I cannot get the confetti hearts out of the bottle for the life of me. I have several confetti polishes in my collection and this was by far the hardest one to get even a single confetti piece out of. I tried using my brush, swirling the bottle around, and even sticking a toothpick into it. Eventually, I gave up. Gorgeous shimmer nail polish, and great for adding as a top coat, but don’t expect to get a lot of confetti hearts out of this one, if any.
Overall: This collection is adorable for Disney lovers, and those who love classic, sophisticated, “never-go-out-of-style” nail lacquer colors. All of the polishes had a great formula and were plenty opaque, however, the confetti hearts in the last polish just didn’t want to come out of the bottle, so if you purchase it, purchase it for the shimmer, not the confetti.
