New York Fashion Week Lookbook: OPI Nude Nails at BCBG Max Azria, Spring 2012

The trends at BCBG Max Azria for Spring 2012 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week this morning included a lot of color-blocking, tribal prints, and easy-going, loose styles. The clothes were absolutely stunning and flowed in a detailed, complex manner. Of course, as a beauty addict, I was watching for the makeup, hair, and nails. The makeup, done by Maybelline, was absolutely gorgeous with fresh, dewy skin, nude eyes, and very rosy cheeks. The nails and toes were also nude and done by OPI Nail Lacquer in Samoan Sand. I am live-tweeting a lot of New York Fashion Week, so be sure to follow me on Twitter for live updates on the clothes, trends, hair, makeup, and nails on the runway!

Samoan Sand

OPI used a gorgeous nude shade, Samoan Sand, on the models nails and toes, which perfectly complemented the complex and bright patterns of the color-blocking and tribal prints in the clothing.

The makeup for the show was done by Maybelline, who did an incredible job at going along with the fresh, youthful, natural look. We saw very natural, full eyebrows on the runway, and very natural eyes. The makeup that really stood out though was the gorgeous flush all of these models had, giving them that “just worked out” look.

I will have more photographs coming from the BCBG Max Azria show this morning showing the makeup in more detail, and how to recreate it. It’s simple and romantic, and a look that anyone can pull off. One thing that never goes out of style are natural, nude nails and makeup to match.
