I’m a huge fan of NARS Cosmetics’ The Multiple. It’s the perfect multi-tasking beauty product for your cheeks and lips. They have finally come out with a matte version of the product, known as the Matte Multiple. Today I have Exumas for you, a gorgeous apricot shade that lights up on the skin and lips. It’s a stunning shade for spring and summer and it will look fantastic on a lot of different skin tones. Matte cosmetic products appeal to a lot of people, especially those with oily skin and aging skin, because they have a flat texture with no shine, and don’t highlight imperfections (such as acne or wrinkles). I’ve got full swatches inside and a look wearing Exumas,

Exumas is described by NARS as a “pink apricot” shade, and I would say that is pretty spot on. It’s more apricot than pink, and delivers pure peachy-coral color that is stunning. The finish is purely matte, that is, there is no shine to the product. If you’ve got oily or acne-prone skin, this will help keep shine at bay and flatter your skin type. If you’ve got aging skin, you will love matte products because they don’t settle into fine lines or imperfections on your skin. The matte trend is really in right now, although if you ask me, I think matte makeup is classic and will always be in “style.” It’s just plain flattering on everyone and anyone.
Exumas is absolutely breathtaking. It is perfectly pigmented and smooth when you swipe it across your skin. It blends well, so if you’re using it on your cheeks, you will have no problems applying it to your skin and then blending it with your fingers or a brush.
On the lips, it can feel a little drying. Matte products tend to be drier than usual, and this is no exception. I would just recommend using lip balm ahead of time or making sure your lips are prepped and not chapped. That being said, matte lip products also last way longer than other lip products, so Exumas easily stayed on my lips without any smudging or wearing for hours! How gorgeous is this shade?
On the cheeks, the product blends beautifully. I applied a dot to the apple of each cheek and then used a brush to blend it toward my temples. It was really easy to blend out, and while the product is pigmented, it doesn’t dry or stick so fast that you can’t work with it to blend it out well. I have Exumas on both my cheeks and my lips in the picture above. I just LOVE coral and peachy-apricot shades. They’re so flattering and ideal for the warmer months. Exumas is no exception, and I highly recommend it out of the 6 brand new Matte Multiple shades. It’s one of those shades that really flatters everyone.
The new NARS Matte Multiples are now available at Sephora stores nationwide, as well as online at Sephora. Each Matte Multiple retails for $39.00 USD. There are 6 shades available: Anguilla (ginger pink), Exumas (pink-apricot), Laos (rose coral), Siam (poppy red), Altai (rose bronze), and Vientiane (copper bronze).
