Let me tell you, on days when you are tired or even sick, highlighter can be your absolute best friend. I’ve been battling a cold all week long, and I’ve honestly never felt less glamorous or healthy looking after sleeping most of my free time away. When I’m tired or sick, my skin looks dull and lifeless, and you actually lose healthy color to your complexion. Mirabella Brilliant Mineral Highlighter was my lifesaver this week! I thought it’d be the perfect week to really put it to the test and see if it could perk my look up.
Mirabella Brilliant Mineral Highlighter contains prismatech shimmer. Prismatech is a color and texture revolution and combines all the best features of baked, fluid and cream products. It is talc and paraben-free and comes in three bronzing shades and three highlighting shades.
The actual packaging and design is extremely modern and high-end looking. It comes in a wavy pattern, and when you dip your finger into the product it feels very cool! It almost has a whipped-like texture that makes it feel super silky smooth and lightweight. At first I wasn’t sure if it was a cream or not because it has a “bounce-back” like quality when you touch it.
The shimmer is definitely quite strong and noticeable, but what makes it so gorgeous and wearable is how fine the shimmer is. You are not going to get huge chunks of glitter on your face with this. It’s sophisticated shimmer all the way. I love that the product is buildable, meaning you can apply it lighter or stronger depending on your tastes. This would be the perfect addition to your makeup routine for a night out because it imparts a beautiful “glowing” sheen that looks natural.
Okay, so keep in mind that I’ve had a really bad cold all week, and I look exhausted and sick. This highlighter really perked up my cheekbones and complexion and made me look less ill. It also lasted all day and night long without wiping off! It was extremely easy to blend out and apply. My favorite place to stick this highlighter is on the tops of my cheekbones, center of my nose, and on the cupid’s bow of my lips for a fuller looking pucker. I would also gladly wear this as an eyeshadow on my eyes, and a highlighter on my body (i.e, my collarbones). It’s lightweight, shimmery, and overall a gorgeous product. I would compare this product with the high-end “top dogs” like NARS, MAC, and Make Up For Ever. It’s just that beautiful.
