I found part of the Summer 2014 Maybelline Bleached Neons Collection and they are insanely gorgeous. These Color Elixirs are my favorite because they’re perfect bargain versions of the YSL Glossy Stains. I picked up 3 shades, I’m Blushing, Orange Aglow, and Luxe in Lilac. They’re the perfect shades for summer because they’re bright and sunny, but there is a softness and sheerness to them that makes them wearable. Full swatches inside,
Maybelline Color Elixirs are a fairly new product, and they’re different than a regular lip gloss or lipstick. If you’ve ever used a YSL Glossy Stain, these have almost the exact same formula. The product is glossy and smooth like a lip gloss, but it has more of a gel-like consistency. It stays put on your lips without feeling sticky. I really like the formulation and they’re quite unique, so I definitely recommend trying one out to see if you like the texture of it. The wear time is longer on these because of the gel formula, which I like. It will eventually rub off like a lip gloss does, but not as easily.
Each Color Elixir has an angled doe-foot applicator which I love. It’s really plush and picks up a lot of product in one swipe. The curves and angles of the applicator make application much easier and more precise. You can kind of see how the consistency is slightly more like a gel on the applicator above.
040 – I’m Blushing is your baby-doll pink shade that pretty much goes with anything and everything. It’s not a terribly unique shade, but it’s a classic that will get used a lot.
020 – Orange Aglow is a stunning coral shade. I knew I needed this one immediately. It has good color payoff and is really the ultimate flattering coral shade. It’s just orange enough but not too orange. It will work on anyone and everyone!
035 – Luxe in Lilac is a hot violet. If you’re into the whole Pantone Color of the Year trend (Radiant Orchid), you will love this one. Purple is my favorite color, but beyond that, it’s really trendy right now to wear purple makeup, especially purple and violet lip colors. This is a beautifully pigmented option that won’t break the bank!
The Maybelline “Bleached Neons” Collection is limited edition for Summer 2014. Each Color Elixir retails for under $10.00 USD making these a major beauty bargain at the drugstore. I have yet to stumble across the rest of the “Bleached Neons” Collection which I know also contains nail polishes, but when I do, I’ll be sure to update and do more swatching!

Yup, I’m sticking to Orange Aglow. I’m Blushing is pretty, too, but the orange is my favorite!
