One of the new releases from LORAC for Summer 2013 is the LORAC Pro Metallic Cream Eyeliner in “Aquamarine.” It’s a stunning metallic blue-green shade that really lights up your eyes. The formula is smooth and creamy, making it easy to apply to your eye area. I love adding pops of color via eyeliner, so I also put together a fun look inside.

The LORAC Pro Metallic Cream Eyeliner is unique in that it comes with a screw-off top that contains a small eyeliner brush inside of it. I think this brush is actually quite nice for applying eyeliner, especially if you were traveling or on-the-go, but I have my own favorite slanted eyeliner brush that I use every single time I apply my eyeliner.
Aquamarine is stunning. It has a highly metallic finish with bits of sparkle and shimmer in it. It’s a blue-green shade that is very bright and noticeable, and it’s very pigmented. I have a small collection of colorful liners because I love them so much and can’t get past how pretty they look when added to an otherwise “regular” makeup look. The formula was really creamy, smooth, and easy to work with…absolutely no complaints at all from me about it being too thick or too watery. It was just right.
For the makeup look I put together, I used Bare Escentuals “Black Lab” Cream Shadow/Liner, which is a black with iridescent sparkles in it. I applied it over my entire eyelid, as well as my lower lash-line. I used a matte light brown shade in the socket of my eyes to blend out any harsh edges of the black (you can also do this along your lower lash-line, as well). I applied Aquamarine to my upper lash-line with a cat-eye flick, and also patted it into my lower water-line where it really pops.
The finished look provides a black backdrop with a pop of bright aquamarine color along the upper lash-line and lower water-line. The matte brown shade in the socket of the eye and along the lower lash-line keeps the edges of the black eyeshadow smoky and blended. The look is bold, edgy, and bright.
What’s nice about this eye makeup look is that anyone can wear it, whether you’ve got brown eyes, blue eyes, green eyes, or hazel eyes. It’s a unique take on the typical smoky eye.
The LORAC Pro Metallic Cream Eyeliner in “Aquamarine” is anĀ Ulta-exclusive limited edition shade, so you can purchase it at Ulta stores nationwide, or online at Ulta’s website. Each eyeliner retails for $19.00 USD. There are a few other shades available as well. I love the long-lasting, smooth formula this cream eyeliner has!
