I recently reviewed and swatched Maybelline’s brand new limited edition EyeStudio palette “Green With Fashion.” I had many requests to do a look using the palette, and I was more than happy to do so because the colors are absolutely breathtaking. Since this palette has two neutral shades and two green shades, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to place the teal in the crease with a neutral eyelid, or place the teal over the entire eyelid. Both would be stunning, but in the end, the bright teal shade was tugging at my heart strings and I decided to do a smokey teal-green eye. To see photographs and how to achieve this look,
Above is the palette which I have labeled with numbers to use as a guide for achieving this look.
- Apply an eye primer or base so that your eyeshadow is more vibrant and doesn’t crease. Apply shade #1 over your entire eyelid up to your crease. Pat this color on for the most pigmented color possible.
- Apply shade #2 in the inner corners of your eyes for a pop of shimmering champagne color.
- Apply shade #3 into the crease of your eye, and outer “V” of your eye, using a fluffy blending brush to blend it out well and smoke it up above your crease.
- Apply shade #4 to your brow-bone to blend the smokiness of the crease even more.
- To smoke out the bottom lash line, I applied a mixture of shade #1 and #3 onto my lower lashes, concentrating the darker shade on the outer corner of my lower lash line for that smokey look.
- Apply black or dark green liner to your lower and upper lash line. Curl your lashes and apply tons of mascara for super dark luscious lashes!
The colors in this palette are so rich and pigmented that you will have no problem getting a beautiful eye look. Also, I wasn’t sure how this would look against my blue-green eyes, but I really like it. This would look really beautiful against brown and hazel eyes!

I really loved this look! Now to get these shades, I’m from India, and this might be a bit expensive…

very pretty but I would have loved to have picture by picture of the process until the end. That would have been very helpful… next time? 😉
