Words cannot describe the warm and fuzzy feeling that came over me when I finally saw that my local drugstore had Sally Hansen’s Complete Salon Manicure in “Hidden Treasure.” I had been hearing about this shade since September 2009, when Sally Hansen unveiled their new Complete Salon Manicure line, as well as the Tracy Reese for Sally Hansen Spring 2010 Collection at New York Fashion Week. The kaleidoscope nail you see above was created for one of the NYFW shows, using Sally Hansen’s “Midnight in NY,” also from the Complete Salon Manicure Collection, and Hidden Treasure. Let me count thy ways that I love this top coat,

Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure
- Hidden Treasure is a kaleidoscope of rainbow colors in a shimmer topcoat. It looks like pieces of mylar flakes in a bottle, reflecting shades of orange, peach, yellow, and green, depending on the light and angle. The actual formula is flawless, long-wearing, and applies wonderfully with one coat. Your nails almost look like they have shimmering strips of glitter on them when you are wearing this polish, without the uneven feeling glitter leaves on your nails, or the pain of attempting to remove it.

Where this polish really makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside, though, is as a topcoat to darker colored polishes. As used in New York Fashion Week, I applied this over Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure “Midnight in NY,” which is a black nail polish with extremely fine silver micro-glitter. It ends up looking like someone lit a beautiful fire in the pitch black of night on your nails.

Midnight in NY & Hidden Treasure
How insanely gorgeous is this combination? It is unlike anything I have seen in a nail polish before. I have seen some compare this combination with China Glaze’s “Fortune Teller” from Halloween 2009, but this is very different, in my opinion. This has “flakes” of kaleidoscope shimmer and glitter in it, and reflects not only orange, but green and yellow. I have also layered this top coat over several other dark shades of polish, including a cranberry color, and it livens the nail polish up to a unique, fiery shade.
The Tracy Reese for Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Spring 2010 line is limited edition, and available at your local drugstore right now. I drove to several drugstores on a mission to find another collection of Sally Hansen polishes today, and I stumbled upon this collection at one of them. None of the other drugstores had this collection, so if you stumble upon this collection, do not hesitate or miss out. I am personally going to be checking back at the Walgreens I found this at every day, because they were sold out of so many of the shades already. Hidden Treasure is also already selling for $20 a bottle on eBay, so scoop up this limited edition polish as soon as possible if you are interested. If you have any tips of where you found this line in a certain area, please feel free to leave a comment below!

I am currently on the hunt for this polish.. WISH ME LUCK!

Very cool. Have you tried OPI’s “Breathe Life” polish? One of my coworkers whose father passed away last week of lung cancer painted my nails with it and it is super pretty when you put it on and helps support the Lung Cancer Foundation.

I’m in the same boat as Cassie — I’ve checked several Targets and a CVS for this polish and can’t seem to find it. Where did you get it?
I think this truly has become a “Hidden Treasure.” Ha! I cannot find this polish anywhere myself anymore. I bought up the last two bottles in the one Walgreens I found it at, and it was never to be seen again. I am going to go on a deeper scavenger hunt myself.
