I just had to post this Rimmel Stir It Up Cream Eyeshadow in Wassup? because I was fascinated by this product. I was in the drugstore and decided to grab one of these since it looked interesting in texture and shade. When I brought it home, it was very different from what I thought it would be, but in a good way. If you’d like to see photographs, swatches, and a full review,
Rimmel Stir It Up Trio Cream Eyeshadow is a cream eye shadow base sprinkled with shades of shimmering powder within. Each application delivers a different payoff and color finish, where cream and shimmer fuse together in an ever surprising result. Imagine my shock when I dipped my finger into this product and realized it was cream! Nowhere on the actual product label does it say “cream,” and it looks like a powder before you dip your finger in to it. When I went to go swatch it, it was a velvety smooth cream that mixed together for a beautiful shade.
You can see when you swatch it that it really looks no different from powder eyeshadow. Each application will have a slightly different outcome between sparkle and the copper and chocolate pigments. The fact that this cream dried down to a powder-like finish almost immediately had me believing that it would last a long time on your eyelid. Sure enough, when I applied this over my primed eyelids on a super humid day this weekend, it didn’t crease at all for over six hours. I have oily lids, so that is tremendous!
Overall, this Rimmel cream eyeshadow is a great multi-use product. You can use this alone, for a simple eyeshadow look, as a base for your powder eyeshadow, or even as a lip or cheek product. It has a wonderful texture, and the color is multi-dimensional. This product has very good staying power for a drugstore product, as well.

I almost picked one of these up the other day but decided against it… Now I’m thinking I might go back and give it a try… It sounds very interesting.

Isn’t that funny how that works? I wasn’t going to pick it up either, but I’m glad I did!
