Revlon’s Spring/Summer 2010 Collection is a “Trends” collection which consists of colors and shades that have been seen on the runways for this season. Revlon’s Super Lustrous Lipglosses have a cult following, and for good reason: They are creamy, non-sticky, and moisturizing. Revlon’s Spring/Summer 2010 Collection consists of five Super Lustrous Lipglosses: Pink Pop, Coral Reef, Lilac Pastelle, Peach Petal, and Firecracker. I personally purchased Coral Reef, Lilac Pastelle, and Pink Pop, and I am very pleased with these lipglosses. The lip gloss tubes look and feel luxurious for a drug store product, and the colors add a sheer pop of color to your lips. To see swatches,
- Coral Reef is a bright coral color. It is definitely less sheer than the other lipglosses in this collection, but still provides that perfect sheer pop of color to your lips. This color, like all the other Revlon Super Lustrous Lipglosses feels ultra moisturizing and creamy on your lips, and is completely non-sticky which I love.
- Lilac Pastelle is a milky, sheer pastel lilac. Lilac lips are a huge trend this season, and unfortunately, not many of the lip glosses and lipsticks are very wearable. What I love most about Lilac Pastelle is that is universally flattering to all skin tones, and it applies sheer enough to be wearable. While I wouldn’t personally wear it applied this thick alone (I applied several coats for these swatches so you could really see the color), it looks great with one or two swipes, or layered over another lip color. Gorgeous for those who want to go for the lilac lip trend!
- Pink Pop is a bright bubblegum pink. It reminds me of a lip gloss that Barbie herself would wear, but still is sheer enough to look soft, and not super intense.
The Revlon Spring/Summer 2010 also has an eyeshadow quad, and nail polishes. Swatches of the eyeshadow quad and one of the nail polishes to come on Beauty Gala! Overall, I’d say this collection is soft and definitely a great choice for spring and summer. I definitely want to go back and grab the other lip glosses from this collection, as they apply perfectly, and the colors were beautiful.
Revlon Super Lustrous Lipglosses retail for $7.99 each, and can be purchased at your local drugstore. If you have a CVS near you, there is a sale on Revlon, buy one, get one 50% off. I scored two of these lip glosses for $11.98 because of their promotion. Check local circular’s at drugstores near you to save!
