The top selling eyebrow pencil in the US, UK, and Canada, ybf’s Eyebrow Pencil is undeniably a must-have product. Our eyebrows frame our entire face and can completely change the way a person looks, for better or worse. I have always enjoyed using a bit of product on my eyebrows because my natural hair color is dark blonde/light brown which translates into light eyebrows. Since I am currently a brunette and plan to stay that way for awhile, it really helps to have a no-fail eyebrow product that fills in and shapes my eyebrows, as well as darkens them a bit. The other extraordinary thing about this eyebrow pencil is that it comes in a universal taupe shade which flatters all complexions and hair colors. To see photographs, swatches, and a how-to on using this amazing eyebrow pencil,
ybf Cosmetics stands for “Your Best Friend,” and is founded by Stacey Schieffelin, Ford model and makeup guru, and successful entrepreneur. Her mantra is that putting your best face forward is a mark of self-respect, not vanity. She believes every woman deserves to know the secret beauty tricks of the models and movie stars…every woman deserves to have her own customized makeup blueprint that maps out her personal path to beauty and self-confidence. I love the message she has in regards to makeup and beauty, and I completely hold the same belief system about makeup and beauty.
I can tell you without a doubt that this is a universally flattering eyebrow pencil because I went from platinum blonde to dark brown hair and I have been using this product rocking both hair shades.
As you can see above, my natural eyebrow shade is quite light and falls somewhere between a dark blonde and a light brown. Having dark brown hair, it really helps to define the shape of my eyebrows and make them darker to frame my face.
Using light-handed, short strokes, apply the pencil starting at the inner corner of your eye. Trace and define the shape of your natural eyebrow and work your way to the arch…
The key is to use light, short strokes as if to mimic natural eyebrow hairs. You can always go back and apply more eyebrow pencil, but it is more difficult to remove excess product so it is best to use a light hand at first. You can also use the pencil to shape your brows differently, or add a more defined arch. Think of it like painting, but using short, feathery strokes. If you’ve got sparse eyebrows, this is a great product for you, since it will mimic very realistic looking eyebrow hair. Once you use the pencil, you can use the brow brush to diffuse the pencil strokes and make it look even more natural.
The key is to use light strokes and build up the product if necessary. You can shape your eyebrows any way you desire, making your arch more or less extreme, or even thickening your entire brow area up. The end result is natural but slightly darker and more defined than my naturally light eyebrows.
Over 10 million of these eyebrow pencils have been sold throughout the past fourteen years! The fabulous, long-standing reputation this eyebrow pencil has reminds me of Maybelline’s Great Lash Mascara…a total classic that people fall in love with and use for decades!
