Hard Candy’s products have that fun, edgy appeal to them, and along with that, you expect great pigmentation from their products. Their Kaleyedescope Baked Eyeshadow Duo’s have great color payoff, and can be used dry for a shimmery look, or wet for more intense, rich color. I got to try out “Pick Up Line,” which is an eyeshadow duo of light, golden green, and a bright blue-green. To see swatches, as well as how this eyeshadow looks on the eye,
The Hard Candy Kaleyedscope Baked Eyeshadow Duo’s contain two eyeshadow shades that have been baked on a terracotta disk, for ultimate wet/dry application. When applied wet, the color is intense and rich, and can also be used as eyeliner. When applied dry, the color is shimmery and more demure. “Pick Up Line” just happens to be a gorgeous duo of a golden light green, and a bright teal-blue. This was my first time trying this eyeshadow and I noticed two things: the eyeshadow was incredibly soft and silky, and the eyeshadow was rich in color.
For my eyes, I decided to keep it simple and luminous. I swept the light green shade over my entire eyelid and the inner corner of my eye. Then, I took the darker shade, and blended it into the crease of my eye. After blending everything out, I applied a thin strip of black eyeliner to my upper lash line, curled my lashes, and applied mascara.
The overall effect reminds me of using a high-end mineral eyeshadow. The shades glimmer and glow on your eyes, and they feel as soft as velvet!
Hard Candy Kaleyedscope Baked Eyeshadow Duo’s are available in fourteen palettes, and retail for $6. Hard Candy Cosmetics can be found at Walmart stores nationwide.
