New York Color has released a limited edition collection for summer called “Sun Soaked,” and it features products that do just that: impart a warm, sunny glow to your face. When I saw the display, I cannot tell you how impressed I was with New York Color. They are working hard on expanding their brand, releasing collections, and amping up their products – and it’s paying off! Their products have great bang for the buck, and are full of rich pigmented color. To see what I purchased from the “Sun Soaked,” collection,
What I picked up from the New York Color “Sun Soaked” Collection:
- New York Color “Color Wheel” Mosaic Powder in “Sunburst” and “Starburst”
- New York Color Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil in “Turquoise” and “Bronze Gold”
- New York Color Metro Quartet Eyeshadow in “Shore Thing” and “Sandbar”
New York Color “Starburst” is a mosaic color wheel powder meant for highlighting and bronzing. You can sweep this on your cheeks for a bronzed-pink flush, or on your body for a shimmering glow.
New York Color “Sunburst” is a mosaic color wheel bronzer with varying shades of gorgeous mocha, bronze, and fawn. This would make a gorgeous bronzer for your face and body, adding a subtle shimmer.
New York Color Waterproof Eyeliner in “Bronze Gold,” and “Turquoise” are absolutely gorgeous, soft, creamy eyeliner pencils that are completely waterproof. I love how soft the tip of the eyeliner pencil is, making applying these a dream, and perfect for adding that pop of sheen and color.
New York Color Metro Quartet Eyeshadow in “Shore Thing” is an eyeshadow palette containing four eyeshadows, and a small guide showing you where to apply each eyeshadow. The shades in this palette are reminiscent of the beach: glimmering beige, just like the sand, and a shimmering blue, just like the sky and the ocean. As usual with New York Color eyeshadow products, each color is rich and pigmented.
New York Color Metro Quartet Eyeshadow in “Sandbar” contains four eyeshadows: three varying shades of neutral beige and brown, and a bright shimmering medium purple. This quartet really caught my eye, because I know this will be absolutely beautiful on the eyes. This palette is a little less traditional than “Shore Thing,” and has more of a playful, nighttime-worthy appeal.
The New York Color “Sun Soaked” Collection is currently available at your local drugstore on a limited edition display. For information on specifically where to buy in your area, you can use the store locator tool.

Hey I’m about to add a review to my own blog on this. It’s amazing. You should really go and snag the Coral Reefe lipgloss.
