As part of New York Color’s Berry Blooms Collection for Fall 2010, a cheek glow powder blush in “Cherry Blossom,” was released. Again, this collection is highlighting the pinks and berries of the season, and this blush has gorgeous bright pink color to it. To see more photographs and swatches,
I absolutely love the the diamond patterns on the actual blush, and again NYC hit it out of the park when it comes to packaging, and making the product look and feel more high-end than it really is. The blush is incredibly soft and feels nice on your skin, but be warned: this blush is highly pigmented. Which, of course, in the cosmetics world is a great thing…just be careful not to apply too much, because you only need a small amount to get a gorgeous flush.
On my skin tone, the blush takes on a berry-pink shade, almost with hints of purple in it. On lighter skin tones, this will look more doll-pink than berry-pink, and on dark skin, this shade will make your skin have that fiery pink glow! I love the soft glow this blush gives off, too, without making you look oily or shiny on your cheeks. As someone with oily skin, there is nothing worse than an over-the-top glowing blush that highlights your pores and imperfections.
The New York Color Berry Blooms Collection is limited edition for Fall 2010 and can be found at drugstores and Ulta stores nationwide. The Cheek Glow Powder Blush is also available in a lighter pink shade in this collection, and can be viewed here. As always with NYC Cosmetics, this product was under $5. You can also check out two of the Rose Lip Glosses from this collection on Beauty Gala!
