Maybelline ExpertWear Eyeshadow Quad’s are brand new to the drugstore scene with all new color combination’s. The palette that particularly caught my eye was “Seashore Frosts,” and while I admit I was drawn to it because a very gorgeous Christy Turlington was wearing it in the advertisement, it is even more gorgeous in person. This palette is all about pastels and soft, light-reflecting shades that make your eyes look like cotton candy. Since I’ve always had good results with Maybelline eyeshadow, I figured I would go ahead and give this one a shot. To see photographs and swatches,
- A pastel light blue, used for your brow-bone area, and a base.
- A lavender purple, used for the eyelid.
- A sparkling plum-mauve used for the crease.
- A shimmering forest green used for liner.
The shades in this quad are meant to mimic the frosty, pale colors we see at the beach, and over the sea. I think Maybelline did a great job at compiling these four shades together for a gorgeous color combination.
Seashore Frosts contained eyeshadow that was soft, smooth, and applied with good color payoff. Many times, pastels can become chalky, however, these were just right.
I love the effect this palette gave to Christy Turlington’s eyes in the advertisement. It’s soft, shimmering, and provides color without being too harsh. In fact, this eye look makes me think of spring, which is right around the corner!
Maybelline ExpertWear Eyeshadow Quads are brand new and come in fourteen classic shade combination’s, which can be viewed on the Maybelline Website. There is something for everyone…neutrals to pastels, to bold colors. This palette only cost me around $5, as well, making it a great bargain find.

My mom has her old quad from about six years ago. The pigmentation’s really improved. I like the old, equally proportioned quads better though.
