Lookbook: Hard Candy Baked Blush, “Living Doll”

maingood

If I had to name my favorite drugstore blush of all time, this would be it. Even before Hard Candy sent me this sample, I owned this blush and hit pan on it from using it so much. Living Doll is a gorgeous bright lavender-pink blush with hints of golden shimmer in it. The manner in which this blush lights up your cheekbones is reminiscent of the coveted MAC “Stereo Rose” Mineralize Skinfinish. This leaves your cheeks with that same dewy, fresh glow of color, and it won’t break your budget. To see a lot of photographs and swatches of this gorgeous blush,

Hard Candy Baked Blush in “Living Doll” is a bright lavender-pink blush with swirls of golden shimmer mixed in. When sweeping your blush brush through this product, you will pick up both the pink and the gold, creating a flawless sheen for your cheekbones. I am a huge fan of “Honeymoon,” another one of Hard Candy’s Baked Blushes, however, “Living Doll” is simply my all-time favorite drugstore blush. After hitting pan on my first compact of this product, I had a hard time finding another one…this particular shade is always out-of-stock at Walmart!

The lavender-pink tone of this blush looks great on a variety of skin-tones. You might initially look at this blush and think it wouldn’t work for your skin tone, or mine, because I have a warm skin tone, and the blush appears to be cool-toned. The golden marbleized powder in the blush allows the shade to take on a warm tone on warm skin. This blush is a universally-toned cheek color, making it beautiful for all skin tones. Let’s prove how good it can look on warm skin tones…

When I wear this blush I feel radiant, sexy, and literally, like a living doll. The shade name is very apropos, as it reminds me almost exactly of the “blush shade” my dolls would have on their cheeks when I was a child.

I’ve seen these at Wal-Mart, but have been a little skeptical on buying it. My skin tone is a little hard to buy for. My skin tone can get away with wearing light pinks, spice colors and peach. I might try this for the heck of it.
