Today was sort of a play-day. I had an appointment this morning that was fairly early and my husband took the day off to spend time with me. We ended up walking around downtown like a couple of kids in love! It was awesome to be able to eat breakfast and lunch together on a weekday and just be silly. I decided to go with a little bit of drama for my Friday night look. I am loving two makeup items like crazy right now: Inglot’s AMC Matte Gel Liner in #77, which is a matte black that shows up super pigmented, and Urban Decay’s Revolution Lipstick in “Venom.” I combined the two together to create a bit of a dramatic look that translates into a modern-day, edgy pinup look.
For my eyes, I used my LORAC Pro Palette. I cannot stress how often I use this palette. I have already hit pan on many of the colors in it, and I got it less than three months ago. I applied a matte brown into the crease of my eye, blending it upward. I also traced it along my lower lash-line for some definition there. I used a light champagne shade on the eyelid and inner corners of the eyes. I applied Inglot’s AMC Matte Gel Liner in #77, which is a matte black, along my upper lash-line and winged it out into a cat flick. I applied a flesh-colored liner onto my bottom water-line and applied mascara. This is your basic “pinup” eye right here…matte definition in the socket, thick eyeliner on top, flesh or white liner on the bottom, and mascara. Feel free to add lashes for even more drama!
My lips are Urban Decay’s Revolution Lipstick in “Venom.” I had my eye on this shade since the Revolution Lipsticks were released. SO gorgeous and rich in color. I’m obsessed.
This look makes me feel sophisticated and sexy. The lips are rich and bold, and the eyeliner gives my almond-shaped eyes a cat look to them. It’s a little spin on the typical winged eyeliner and red lipstick.
I hope you have a fantastic weekend!

Pretty. I’m actually just using my first UD lipstick– the samples of the new Vice. They came in 24 dots. I think you’d love Pandemonium (crazy bright/deep purple in Mega matte finish).
In any case, Venom looks cool on you.

I got those too! I am so glad they sent those sample packs out. I’ll have to check out Pandemonium.
