On a spontaneous trip to Sephora this afternoon I grabbed the Kat Von D Ever Lasting Love Liquid Lipstick in Backstage Bambi. I swatched it on the back of my hand in the store and I was immediately in love. Kat Von D is known for having extremely strong, pigmented, heavy-duty cosmetic products. This lip lacquer spreads like a gloss from an applicator but dries down to a matte finish that doesn’t budge. Backstage Bambi is an extremely vivid, hot, neon pink shade. I mean neon. It’s stunning. I fell in love with it and had to make it mine. You don’t want to miss the swatches,

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Backstage Bambi is a vivid hot pink. Now when I say hot pink, I mean neon hot pink. It’s the most vivid lip color I own in my entire makeup collection right now. It applies as a liquid lacquer and dries down to a completely matte finish on your lips within sixty seconds. Once it dries, it will stay put. You can kiss the back of your hand and the color will not transfer or smudge at all. I love how long lasting this stuff is! It won’t come off until you’re ready to take it off your lips. I also love the matte finish paired with the neon color.

 

 

 

Before it dries down to a matte finish, it will kind of look a bit shiny (as shown above). It dries down to be completely flat and matte. It’s important that your lips are properly moisturized and not chapped because it can be a bit drying and really highlight any imperfections, lines, or dead skin on your lips. I love lip products like this, though, because they won’t transfer or smudge for hours. I also like that you can leave it matte or top it with a gloss of your choice, making it essentially look different depending on your mood.

 

 

 

 

 

Now did I say VIVID NEON, or what? It’s insane how bright this lip color is. I am obsessed with it so much. I love hot pink lips and this is by far the brightest, most neon one I’ve found. It’s a gorgeous, long-lasting product. I would love to own every single color that this product comes in because of the long wearing formula. Backstage Bambi is just the lip gloss of my dreams because of the neon color. It makes your skin look brighter and more tan, and really makes your teeth look whiter as well because it’s a very cool-toned, blue-based hot pink.

 

 

 

Kat Von D Everlasting Love Liquid Lipstick is a Sephora exclusive. You can find these at Sephora stores nationwide as well as online at Sephora’s website. Each one retails for $19.00 USD. It is available in five other colors, as well. I swatched “Jeffree,” which is a hot coral pink, and I also loved that one as well. I highly recommend these as a long-wear lip product that is available in both muted and bold shades.
