The China Glaze “Let It Snow” Holiday 2011 Nail Polish Collection is a twelve-piece collection of holiday-inspired shades, complete with dazzling glitter and gorgeous, smooth creme’s. I can honestly say that this is an incredible nail polish collection from start to finish…there is not one polish that disappoints in formula or color. Since this is going to be a very picture-heavy post, let’s go ahead and get right into the swatches,
[All nail polishes were swatched with two coats of nail polish.]
Blue Year’s Eve is a cobalt blue duo-chrome shimmer. It has a gorgeous duo-chrome sparkle to it that shows flashes of violet and bright blue. This is the perfect alternative to typical green and red polishes this holiday season. Gorgeous!
Tinsel Town is a gorgeous blackened silver glitter that is very unique. I have other black-silver glitters in my collection but this one looks like flat-out glittering asphalt. It’s stunning and unique, and really shines on your nails like no other darkened grey’s I own!
Ring In The Red is a brilliant cherry red with loads of glitter in it. This is actually not a “Ruby Pumps” dupe at all. This shade has thicker glitter in it, and also the glitter tends to sit “inside” the red in this shade, making it absolutely stunning. Dare I say that I love this shade more than “Ruby Pumps?” I think I might.
Velvet Bow is a darkened burgundy creme. This one is super smooth and looks really creamy on your nails. You can’t go wrong with a classic dark burgundy shade for the colder months.
Winter Berry is a cranberry red creme. Not an incredibly unique shade, but again, you can never go wrong with red shades in a nail polish collection because they are so sophisticated and classic. The formula on these reds is amazing, as well.
Pointsettia is the bright, in-your-face cherry red creme in this collection. This just reminds me of everything holiday, and is so classically chic!
Twinkle Lights is the incredibly fun mixed-glitter of the group. It contains silver, gold, green, and red glitter in it, and looks like a big sparkly Christmas tree ornament. I love this one and how fun it is!
Snow Globe is a pastel-glittered nail polish in a clear base. This is the perfect top coat for the winter months coming as it reminds me of soft snow falling and twinkling in the nighttime. I think this would look so beautiful layered over a nude shade!
Glittering Garland is a shimmery green, and is my favorite in the collection. The shimmer in this is a lovely touch to the forest green color and it ends up looking so playful and festive.
Holly-Day is a stunning medium green creme. The color is so smooth and creamy looking and I think it is a perfect option for those of you who love green nail polish.
Champagne Bubbles is a gold metallic with flecks of silver glitter in it. Wow! A very unique metallic gold shade with the silver flecks in it, which make it look like little bubbles in champagne, literally. This one is very flattering for a gold nail polish as well, and I absolutely adore it.
Icicle is a metallic silver and isn’t terribly unique either, but every holiday collection needs some pretty metallics that apply really well. This shade applies very smoothly!
Overall, this collection gets an A+ from me in terms of shade selection, formula, and wear. I am very impressed with this collection, and China Glaze definitely did not disappoint with their Holiday 2011 Collection!
