My sister loves beauty products, and she raved about this product to me via e-mail. Since I have not tried it yet, I jumped at the opportunity to have her do a guest review for Beauty Gala. She is reviewing the Garnier Nutritioniste Skin Renew Polishing Exfoliator and Post Treatment Regenerating Moisturizer (say that four times fast!). As an avid lover of Garnier Nutritioniste products, I was just as excited to read this review as I hope you are. Does this two-step product live up to my sisters expectations?

What the products look like
Garnier Nutritioniste Skin Renew Polishing Exfoliator & Post Treatment Regenerating Moisturizer
Garnier Nutritioniste Skin Renew Polishing Exfoliator & Post Treatment Regenerating Moisturizer claim that these products, which come together in a box, will exfoliate your skin, making it smoother, give you less fine lines and wrinkles, give you a more even skin tone, and improve the texture of your skin overall within two weeks. The post-treatment claims to soothe and protect your skin. You would use it after the exfoliator, before you go out in the sun, and it contains SPF 15.
This has become one of my all-time favorites as far as skin care. It comes in a box with both of them included. The first time I used it, I read the directions, which are very simple. For the exfoliator, use 2-3 times a week, apply to damp skin, then massage into your face for 1-2 minutes (I usually do it for about one minute because I have found that any longer will leave your skin very tight and dry), being careful not to apply too much pressure in any spots, and then rinse thoroughly. Then, you would apply the moisturizer.
When I first used it, I liked the tubes, however, if you are like me, and use it 3 times a week, you will soon find out that the tubes are on the smaller side, so you will get about 10-15 uses out of them at most. I loved how my skin felt after I used it the first time. My skin was so smooth, and I saw immediate results. It took about 3 weeks, though, for fine lines to become less noticable, and for my skin to even out. The scent is not appealing, to me, anyway. It has a slight medicine smell to it. It is gritty when you apply it, almost like a sugar scrub, and I could see dead skin actually peeling off with the exfoliating scrub.
The moisturizer was okay. I used it as directed, however, within an hour, when I simply touched my face, it began to peel off in little pieces. It appears that it stays on the top layer of your skin only, and does not soak into it, as claimed. Due to this, I would recommend that you use these two products at night time, and not under makeup, otherwise you will begin to see a peeling effect. The moisturizer smells a little better than the exfoliator, with it smelling like an unscented lotion. I use the exfoliator, and then apply my own green tea lotion instead of the one included. You may want to consider doing the same.
Bottom line: Overall, these products do what they promised, giving you healthier, glowing, more evenly textured skin. However, the moisturizer needs to be improved so that it soaks into the skin better.
