Today I’ve got a really fun look that adds loads of shimmer and shine to your eyes without being over-the-top and making you look like a disco ball. I love adding glitter to the bottom lash-line for the holiday season. It gleams when it catches the light and it is subtle enough that it looks sophisticated and still festive. I’ve got the full look inside with all of the products I used!

The five products that I would really say are most important in achieving this makeup look are:
- Ardell Demi Wispies. My favorite false eyelashes of all-time. They add great length and look quite natural on the eye.
- Khroma Beauty Touch Tones Eyeshadow Palette in “Mirage.” This is from the Kardashian makeup line, and it’s full of gorgeous shimmering neutral shades.
- Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner in “Perversion.” The blackest of black eyeliners you will find.
- Wet n Wild Fergie Centerstage Shimmer Palette in “Rose Champagne Glow.” This is an exact dupe for MAC’s “Soft and Gentle” Mineralize Skinfinish and it is under $5. Gorgeous.
- NYX Glitter Liner in “Crystal Silk.” This is the gorgeous glitter along my lower lash-line. A must have for the holiday season and super affordable.
For the eye makeup, I used the Khroma Beauty Touch Tones Palette in “Mirage,” which I found at Ulta. I created a smokey eye using the lightest shades on my eyelid and darkening the outer corners of my eyes with the darker shimmering shades. I used a copper in my crease, and along my lower lash-line. I added black liner to my lower water-line and my upper lash-line. I added a champagne-gold glitter all along my lower lash-line right on top of where I applied the copper eyeshadow. I added mascara and false lashes, and that’s it! The shimmering, glittering look is complete. Your eyes will look so festive and lovely, especially when the light hits at the right angle.
This eye makeup is great for any eye color and perfect for wearing to a holiday party or event. If you’re looking for a sophisticated way to wear glitter, the pop of it on your lower lash-line is the way to go!
I kept my face makeup very glowing and soft. In order to achieve this, I used the Wet n Wild Fergie Centerstage Shimmer Palette in “Rose Champagne Glow.” This is an exact dupe for the much loved MAC “Soft and Gentle” Mineralize Skinfinish, but it costs less than $5 at the drugstore. It adds the most stunning shimmer to your cheeks and along your cheekbones. It will make your skin look perfect.
I used MAC’s “Blankety” Lipstick on my lips so that they were soft and neutral in comparison to my eyes. “Blankety” is a really soft nude-pink shade. I also used a cool-toned pink blush on the apples of my cheeks only. This adds some color to your face without being overwhelming.
The finished look is all about glowing, soft, airbrushed skin with neutral lips and glowing, glittery eyes. The focus here is the eyes, and you want them to be alluring.
Here is a photo I took wearing the look this evening. I actually went and got a haircut today and I had 3 inches taken off! I know it doesn’t look like it, but I had incredibly long hair with too many split ends, so it was time to get my ends healthy again. I also had my hairstylist cut layers into my hair for volume and movement. It feels much more bouncy and healthy. Don’t you just love that feeling you get when you walk out of the hair salon with freshly styled tresses?
