I received this gorgeous Avon Top Secret Color Box in the mail, and was challenged to put together a colorful, fabulous makeup look that you can achieve in five minutes. I was definitely up for the challenge since I typically get ready quickly, most of the time even before my husband is ready to walk out the door! Inside, I show you my goodies, my makeup look, and how to achieve Fab in 5 with Avon!

What’s inside the box? When I first opened it, I was not only curious but excited. I had no idea what would be inside and what my challenge would be!

 

 

 

• Avon’s True Color Eyeshadow Quad in “Purple Pop”
• Avon’s Mega Effects Mascara in Black
• Avon’s Ultra Color Lipstick in “Rich Ruby”
• Avon’s Ultra Glazewear Lip Gloss in “Palm Beach Pink”

 

 

 

 

Since I decided to use the purple eyeshadow palette and the pink lip gloss together for a colorful, bright look, the red lipstick got put to the side for this specific look. However, this shade is spectacular. It’s a bright red (think: Gwen Stefani), and it wears fantastically.

 

 

 

If you’re looking for a great bright red lipstick, Rich Ruby from Avon is a stellar choice.

 

 

 

For my Fab in 5 look, I went with the purple eye makeup palette and the pink lip gloss. The eyeshadow palette is absolutely perfect for me because not only is purple my all-time favorite color, but I tend to wear purple shades on my eyes quite a bit.

 

 

THE LOOK: Violet eyes are topped off with black eyeliner along the upper lash-line, flicked out into a cat-eye. The face is kept neutral and warm with bronzer on the cheeks, and the lips are a glossy pink shade. 

 

 

 

HOW TO ACHIEVE THIS LOOK:

 

 

 

1. Apply Shade 2 over your entire eyelid and along your lower lash-line.
2. Apply Shade 3 into the crease of your eye, blending slightly upward to create dimension.
3. Apply Shade 4 to the outer corners of your eyes and outer lower lash-line to add smokiness and depth.
4. Apply Shade 1 to the inner corners of your eyes and brow-bone to highlight.

 

You can choose to add eyeliner or wear it as is. I added some black eyeliner to my upper lash-line and flicked it outward into a cat-eye. I curled my lashes and applied my Avon Mega Effects Mascara, which is amazing. I did a full review on this mascara here on the blog (click to see). It has a unique applicator that is reminiscent of retro mascara used in the 30’s, 40’s, and 50’s. It makes my lashes look long, curled, and voluminous.

 

 

 

I applied Avon’s “Palm Beach Pink” Lip Gloss to my lips to finish the entire look off.

 

 

THE FINISHED LOOK:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The eyeshadow palette applied beautifully, like a breeze! The colors were pigmented and easy to blend. I may be partial because purple is my favorite color, but I think this purple look just might be one of my favorites of all time!
