In South Carolina, right now, it is scorching hot, and the temperatures are only going to be hotter as the week goes on. Our high temperature toward the end of the week is going to soar into the low 100’s, and all I can think of is ways to stay cool! Admittedly, I’ve been shopping more often because of the hot weather (hello, air conditioning), and I happened to pick up this scorching hot coral shade of lipstick last week at a beauty discount store. This coral shade is fire-hot, and it is so perfect for the hot temperatures. Everything about this color screams hot weather and bombshell. To see Femme in action on my lips,
Femme is a scorching hot, bright, fiery coral-orange shade. It almost looks like a hot orange-red, but it is definitely a gorgeous coral shade. I picked this up at a discount beauty supply store near my house for $2.99, and I know many locally owned discount beauty supply stores carry NYX products at an inexpensive price. This shade is one of those colors that I think anyone with any complexion could wear, regardless of how bright it is. It doesn’t lean too cool or too warm, and it can look totally different depending on how much you layer on. A lighter hand will give you a bright, but more sheer hot coral effect, and applying with a heavier hand will give you really bright, juicy coral lips. I think this color will look especially beautiful on darker skin tones because of how vibrant and glowing it is.
The swatches above were taken in different lighting, and you can see how they vary in color a little bit. It was hard to capture just how coral this shade is without it looking like a bright red (which it is not). For my lip swatches, I decided to get a few different types of lighting to show you how it looks in several situations.
Overall: This color is smoking hot! I thought it was gorgeous in the packaging, but it was everything I expected and more. The actual lipstick formula was smooth and applied beautifully. It had really rich, opaque color, as well, which is incredible considering how inexpensive these lipsticks are. I think this shade would look great on anyone, regardless of skin tone, hair color, or eye color.
