The E.l.f Disney Villains Collection contains four “makeup books” with a complete set of makeup inside. Each represents one of the famous Disney villains, of course! Today I have Ursula for you, from “The Little Mermaid.” It’s my all-time favorite Disney movie (along with Snow White), but it also had some of the most gorgeous shades inside. The eyeshadow palette contains jewel-toned shades which are perfect for fall, and the kit contains several other fantastic E.l.f items, some of which I use on a regular basis myself! I’ve got the full kit, swatches, and my Ursula-inspired makeup look inside,
Each “Makeup Book” opens up with a daytime look and a nighttime look tutorial on either flap inside. Each kit contains:
- Six-color eyeshadow palette
- E.l.f Eyeshadow Primer
- E.l.f Lip Gloss
- E.l.f Liquid Liner
- E.l.f Eyeshadow Brush
- E.l.f Mascara
- E.l.f Pencil Liner
Depending on what Disney villain you buy, the eyeshadow palettes are different shades, as well as the lip gloss inside.
The kit itself retails for $9.99 USD at Walgreens stores exclusively nationwide. Considering that there are a lot of products in here I use on a regular basis and love, this is a steal. I use the E.l.f Eyelid Primer all the time and I think it’s a fantastic eyelid primer for those of you on a budget (it costs $1!). I also like the E.l.f Lip Gloss, the E.l.f Liquid Liner, and the E.l.f Eyeshadow Brush. I use these products all the time when doing my makeup because I think they are fantastic bargain beauty items.
Ursula contains six shades that are under-the-sea inspired. All of them are jewel-toned, rich in color, and there is a mix of shimmer and matte.
You can see by the swatches that they all applied quite nicely. The matte shades were just slightly dry, but other than that, they applied wonderfully considering the cost of this kit.
For this makeup look, I applied the lightest shimmering beige shade to the inner corners of my eyes and along my brow-bone. I applied the emerald green on my eyelid and used the purple in the socket of my eye. To top it all off, I used the dark blue on the outer-third of my eye and blended it out to create dimension. I applied the emerald along my lower lash-line and smoked it out with the dark blue on the outer lower lash-line. I used tons of black eyeliner on my lower water-line and upper lash-line for a dramatic effect. You can apply mascara and stop here if you’d like, but because this is Disney and Disney is theatrical and dramatic, I applied some super dramatic eyelashes to top it all off. After all, Ursula does wear quite a bit of makeup and is quite the glamorous villain!
The E.l.f Lip Gloss is a light pink shade that is quite flattering. Another great product for a very inexpensive price tag.
This look is dramatic and fun, and my take on Ursula!
